Title: Stephen Hawking and ALIENS.
Post by: B E C K on Apr 27, 2010, 10:10:51 PM
Too lazy to link an article but you know he's right.  We need to hold off contacting other life until we build a really, really, really big laser to kill them with.  (http://www.rabbitinasuit.com/emoticons/A-D/alien.gif)  (http://www.rabbitinasuit.com/emoticons/A-D/alien2.gif)  (http://www.rabbitinasuit.com/emoticons/A-D/alien3.gif)  (http://www.rabbitinasuit.com/emoticons/A-D/alien4.gif)  (http://www.rabbitinasuit.com/emoticons/A-D/alieneyesa.gif)

Dinosaucers. Definitely.

Instead of us riding dinos, DINOS WILL RIDE US!

If it's not official, it doesn't count.  Like Sandra Bullock's kid.

Who made you judge? I say it counts.

I made me judge, ho.  Just like when Merla wanted me to edit the poll to add the dumb Robotech aliens and I slammed down my gavel and said Marilyn Milian says time for a little rough justice! nay!

Reptiles can be filed under Dinosaucers.  Take that as you will.

Huh, I at least expected a "do not do that, Joseph." Not even an acknowledgment. Ouch.

So 2 days ago something weird happened. I woke up like at 3am with my husband looking outside the window and saying there was a light "floating" above the trees, to which I replied it was probably an airplane and to go back to sleep. He said it couldnt be an airplane since its been there for half an hour already so I said its the moon!(btw we both wear glasses- I mean contact lenses but we have glasses too, but we didnt put them on to try to look with more detail). When I saw outside it did look like a full moon. Lots of light. Anyways, Next day he looked at the moon calendar and noticed that that night it was supposed to be a new moon, not full moon like what I saw. Oh and the moon is generally on the other side , not where we saw it. SHAT BRIX.

Blind people seeing aliens is like drunk people seeing aliens.  You come off as believable as Randy Quaid.  In related news, if I cared about this movie enough I might actually get diarrhea after reading this (http://movies.ign.com/articles/108/1080661p1.html).  As it is, I don't.  Still, the mention of Men In Black 3 did make me puke a tiny bit.

Post by: Rama on May 03, 2010, 01:08:23 AM
Ugh...you reminded me there was a Men in Black 2. Thanks a lot.

And I remember there being ID4 2 Rumors as far back as 1997. If they couldn't get it made right after that movie came out, and before the string of bombs this team has made since, then I don't know how they'd get it made now. But who knows, might be one (or two in this case) of those movies that is so bad that it is fun to watch.

Nono we can still see good without glasses but we use them to see things "more in detail".
Althought you have a point there. Theres this peruvian reporter that once was so wasted at night he was driving next to a mountain that has a satelite dish on top and he thought it was a uFO and called the news and everybody else.

If you had put on your glasses, you probably would have realized it was something reflecting moonlight or something of this nature.

If I take off my glasses, half of the things in my room become aliens.

No, not really.

I'm scared now.

Don't watch the 4th kind, it'll hunt your dreams forever.

Fiero, our room's windows face the backyard of our place and of the other brownstones so its a big open space full of trees. The light I thought was the moon was above the trees :S

Yeah. Put on your glasses next time and be prepared to witness the utterly mundane.

Don't watch the 4th kind, it'll hunt your dreams forever.

It just insulted my intelligence. I expected it to be scary, and was sorely let down.

The fact that they told me they were cutting it with actual footage and audio that was "real" but turned out to be laughably fake. Once I knew I had been lied too, that made me far more upset then scared. I found "Fire in the Sky" a far more scarier Alien Abduction movie. First off it didn't lie to me, and it matched up with an actual story and not a bunch of bullshit that someone just made up.
Title: Re: Stephen Hawking and ALIENS.
Post by: Faye Valentine on May 06, 2010, 05:23:47 PM
No it did not! the real guys whose story was Fire in the Sky based on have bitched pleeenty of times about the accuracy of said movie. In short, it sucked and its nothing like what happened to them. Maybe the first scene its the same but thats it.

What I mean is it said that it was based on real events. Unlike The Fourth Kind which said these where the ACTUAL events being shown and they weren't. In fact not a single thing in the movie is based on anything that actually happened. If they had just made a fictional movie with a little tag line at the start that said "Although this film is a work of fiction, many of the events are based on real accounts taken from abduction cases." But it didn't do that. It told me the things I was seeing where real when they were not. They lied to me from the start and held the lie through the whole movie. And it was a Lie that was so easy to disprove that I was more insulted that they actually thought I was dumb enough to believe this then scared by what I was seeing.

But thats what they are doing now! Like in Paranormal Activity, Blair Witch, etc

Well I was more pissed then scared at Blair Witch too. Never saw Paranormal Activity, but I saw lots of interviews with the stars of the movie saying it was fake and it was just presented in that style before it came out. Can't remember if they did that with Blair Witch or not.

Me and Kary rewatched the Blair Witch project around last Halloween. It held up for us.

It has been ten years since I saw that movie, maybe I should give it another chance. But I refuse to extend that hand to Blair Witch 2.

Omg that movie was a piece of crap. Wtf were they thinking when they did it?

Anyways, did someone watch it at the theater? I bet that experience would have made me pee in my pants

I saw Blair Witch Project in the theater.

I saw it at the theater while visiting my father in Boston. We stayed in a hotel that night IN THE CITY, yet I was still scared whenever I heard a noise. I thought it was the witch coming for me. Keep in mind, I didn't know it was a hoax at that point. I was still young and stupid then.

I actually found the "Mockumentry" Curse of the Blair Witch, that Sci-Fi did to promote the movie, scarier then movie. Anyone else see that?

Saw that one too I think, on video.

Yeah it never got release in Peru so I bought the tape here in the US and watched it. I already knew it was a fake but when I went back to Peru I showed it to my cousins and told them it was real and they started crying when the bad shit started happening. Fun times

Merla and I saw it in the theater, too.  Then later on when I was home, my dad took my big stuffed Littlefoot (as in from The Land Before Time) and made him face the corner.  So I enter the room and the fucking dinosaur is in the corner like that dude at the end of the movie.  Dammit, that freaked me out.  I neither live with my dad or that toy anymore.

Not for that reason though, I just thought it was a cool way to end the anecdote.

Yeah, why throw Littlefoot out?

We were moving to a smaller house at the time and I didn't have any room.  Gave a lot of shit away.  Anyway, thought some kid somewhere would enjoy him more than me.

Or some perv that was really into Dinos. I bet they would enjoy it more too. Just rip it open and go at it. Poor Littlefoot.

There is probably a video of some sick fuck humping that Littlefoot just like that video of the dude humping the raccoon stuffed animal.
