I wonder if this is too related to my car crash topic to have it's own.... nahhhhh....
Yea, you've probably seen the ads on TV for Bargain Network, and cheap ass cars, or an ad in the classifieds talking about $500 cars with a number. First off, in order to join you have to pay a monthly fee... there is some sort of 30 day trial but you have to enter your credit card so they can start charging you without permission after the 30 days are up, and I think it's $20 a week or some stupid shit like that.
They'll also try to sign you up for 50 other "deals", aka telemarketers who will try to sell you shit and sign up for their $50 a month "discount card" programs, or magazines that are free or cheap for the first 2 months.
The list of auctions they sent me are all far away from me and many are out of state, and almost all of them DO NOT auction cars.
The auctions listed on their website are similar. None are less than 15 miles away and all of them were for things like stamps or art or some shit like that... I only found 1 car auction and that's in Toledo.
As for their car search, I looked for cars $5000 and less, and didn't find ANY in my home town and about 3 in adjacent towns. The search is nothing different than what you'd find at Autotrader.com or Ebay or some shit like that, and those are FREE.
I have yet to find any $500 cars OR police auctions as they said they had in their TV ads... False advertisment fuckers!
So yes, Bargain Network is a scam. Please spread the word so they'll go out of business and starve and resort to gay sex to pay their bills.
