Another year begins by staring into the crystal clear waters of the porcelain goddess.

I feel like 20 bucks.

Last year I had a shitty New Years. And I thought "Well, the first day sucked. It's a sign, the rest of the year will suck." I had a feeling, and I was right.

This time, it was pretty good. So I think this year will be better...not wonderful, probably the same old same old, but not shitty either.

This year my mother offered to treat me since I had a shitty year (either that, or she wanted to keep an eye on me and make sure I didn't do something stupid).

The city has a little secret. We have quite a few nightclubs and a lot of bars. And most of them are packed on New Years, with a line around the block because the club's too full. They actually weren't picky about the capacity of the clubs until after that club fire a couple years ago that killed all those people, now they enforce capacity to the letter, so it's impossible to get into most of them.

However, just around the corner's this sports bar. Even though it has a large bar, pool tables, darts, video games, a DJ and dance floor, a buffet, a menu and food, 3 projection tvs to wath Dick Clark on, and the cheapest cover in the city, every New Years it's barely half full. Go figure, I guess people are too stupid to go to it.

First thing we did was my mother bought two glasses of some stuff. I downed one of them, and then noticed she was trying to drink the other, even though she was the driver. So I grabbed it when she wasn't looking and downed that. Take an empty stomach and add two glasses of strong mixed drinks and I was plastered in a minute.

The place was filled with mostly middle-aged people... groups of friends or couples. I don't think there was a single college aged woman there...they were all older. I guess I went to the wrong party!

I played this deer hunting video game, and even though I was drunk, I was able to hit several deer. Just remember never to give me a real gun while drunk.

The DJ only played hiphop. I would have perferred rock music. They also played the Numa Numa song.

I watched Syndicated South Park, then played Babylon 5 all day.

I slept 'till three (which is odd for me these days) then helped take down Christmas decorations.  I spent the rest of the day watching TV and playing Dead or Alive 4 when we weren't yelling at my sister.

No.  I went to a small party in Baltimore, which is mostly why I slept in so late.

What the hell is there to celebrate? Congratulations, the world is one year older, let's usher in yet another year for which everything can go wrong! Let's get drunk! Woo. Yeah, not feeling the spirit here.

At the stroke of midnight I was sliding my bag out of the way just as someone spilled a margarita.  The next night I had half a margarita spilled on my head and the shirt I had just changed into.

Me and margaritas don't mix.

Oh well, at least it wasn't beer.

Hung out with some friends at my brother's.  People here drive like Titanics looking for icebergs on New Year's - we got home about 1 AM and had seen 5 or 6 weavers in the 2 .7 miles between our houses.  Besides, we had gone out with some people the night before and Eddie drank 8 pints of Guinness in about 3 hours and topped it off with Scotch shots.   He couldn't even stand to smell a beer on New Year's.

My ignore list has one name in it: "Page down".

I stayed up til 1AM, and had to get up at 5AM to get ready to go on the air.  So I was dead all day Sunday.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
