Bernie, Faye... maybe the new guy, I don't know if he drinks a lot.

I'm going to go party and get wasted and maybe even kill all my braincells if I'm lucky on New Years Eve...but I hate beer. I drink mixed drinks instead, or hard liquor.

I don't know a lot of mixed drinks though, and I wondered if you could give me some tips on some good ones, ones that actually have some sort of taste perferably.

Also, why is the forum so slow lately? I feel like I'm killing half the topics.

I had brandy and ice cream, that was good. I had a drink with some gin with it tonight and it tasted nasty.

Smirnoff ice, Zima, that's a carbonated drink.
If you want the hard stuff, but that it tastes good, you should try white russians(kahlua, milk and vodka, they are DELICIOUS and not strong at all). Also Jolly Ranchers( made with Puckers), Appletinis, or if you want simple stuff, drink pineapple juice with coconut rum. It is amazing!

What type of flavors do you like; i.e. sweet, tangy, sour? DO you like the taste of liquor itself or do you prefer it disguised?

Personally, I was on vacation from 12/19 until 12/27, so I let all the shopping go until then.

Couple of parties; Eddie was off as well, so we went out to lunch or dinner almost every day, then had to catch up with everything once I got back.

No one is going to get that smirnoff ice post (well shwiggie and maybe phage will).

All of Faye's drinks taste good and they will all make you look like a card carrying pansy (except the white russian but it's hard to drink all that syrupy kaluha and milk if you're trying to get hammered, unless you're a light weight). But I can see how drinking an appletini could be turned to your advantage (well I think I could turn it to my advantage anyway) at a party full of chicks.

I suggest you go with crown and ginger ale, jack and coke, or if you're on a budget beam and coke. Or if you're really on a budget some well bourbon and coke.

I guess I'm not much of a help in the taste department. The only hard drink that I drink that has a good taste is a vodka tea, this consists of every different flavored vodka (usually stoli or smirnoff brand...I usually go stoli tea style) in a brand line with a dash of sour mix. But if this is BYOB this would be really expensive...but the upside is it's a cup of straight vodka and it tastes good...girls love them...especially the young ones...ALLlllright [/quagmire].

I'm going club hopping (or more than likely just staying at one club since they fill up fast around here on New Years).

I'm not used to the liquor yet, I just don't drink enough. I can't drink a glass of wine without puckering up. Beer tastes too icky for me, not to mention being rather strong. I think Mike's Hard has been the only thing I can down easily, but only because it's only like 5%.

I'm willing to try anything but I don't want to look like an idiot doing it. Stuff I can order from a club bar, something that will be tasteful and not be so strong I wince and everyone knows I'm a n00b.

Faye: Jolly Ranchers? That's Pucker with something else, like Vodka? I think I've had that before.

And so is most beer.

People knock the 'carbonated' or what have you stuff, such as smirnoff and mikes, but it's just as alcohol heavy as any bottle of beer on the market, plus tastes a sight better.

Frankly, to get down to it, some people just want to look tough by drinking something that tastes like cat piss (some like it and have no need to look tough.)

I'd recommend something mixed myself, I'm rather partial to Whiskey Sours and Screwdrivers myself.

mostly crown and water but thats how I roll. BNot because Im trying to be tought but i fugire if you drink water with the crown you're kinf of rehydrating yourself. and we took a bucnh of jeger bombs... oh god I don't want to pyuke nbut I think its inevitable...

I've never EVERY puked before when I was drunk. And God knows I've drank a shitload of alcohol. It's just a "gift".

D, jollyrancher is watermelon puker and apple puker and that's it, I think.

Eh...I havn't been on IM in awhile. Don't get on there much anymore. Been kinda busy. I just hit this place from time to time and post and that only takes about 5-10 mins at most.
