Actually I've had powet the entire time, just no net. And no school for a week? This was like a post apocalyptic spring break! The destruction, lines for gas and water... well I stocked up like a good little ant.

Good for you!  I couldn't believe there were people in lines screeching for water in Florida two days later, and they weren't poor-looking people, nor had they lost their homes.  If Rita had been bad, the five of us at my brother's house theoretically could have been well-fed, hydrated and clean for at least two weeks.  Everybody repeat: "The government probably won't take care of me...."   <_<

Night before it struck, me and Kary hit the gas station and the supermarket. Both places had no one there, and loads of stuff. Day after, it looked like Al Queda nuked Jacksonville. Today, no lines to anything, curfew's midnight but shitty ass publix is still closing @ 6pm. GAY!
