Luckily we are closed on Sun, or else I'd be working those as well.
So like last Sat they needed me to fill in and I said I would do it. This would have been my 5th Sat in a row working. (and actually I'm suppose to work next sat and sat after that. So in the end it would have been 7 sat in a row.) So when I was off the two younger girls at my work came up with this plan that they were gonna work for me. One would cover at one branch while the other took on the shift I was gonna fill in for. Now both of these girls are pretty young...not go to jail if you touch them young, but young enough to make me feel old before my time, and thus tend to be a little naive, and neither has worked her very long. A year and 6 months respectively. I however am closing in on 4 years, and not only that but the branch they were sending me to, to work I had worked at for almost 3 years before moving over to where I am now. Neither of them had worked there and this was the main branch. Twice as big, three times as busy. I objected to this plan when I found out about it, but they got my boss on their side and she wanted me to have at least one weekend off so I didn't get burned out.
Fast forward to Sat. So I had to go in and talk to the IT guy about some 3D prints I was having him do for me and he works at the main branch and was gonna be there sat. So I figure I'll just chell on her and make sure everything is going ok. It wasn't...and I ended up working 4 hours off the clock in my Transformer t-shirt and shorts because she was so overwhelmed.
