Due to neverending US and EU pressure on our drug laws, new legislation became active today. Only in a few cities so far, but in a few months it should be active everywhere.
Instead of just walking into a shop and buying some hash or weed (as you do), we now have to officially register with a shop and then can only by drugs from there. And Satan only knows what the government plans to do with that registration database.
In the cities that had to conform to this law today there were massive protests apparantly with all the shops staying closed, to which the city councils responded that then they can stay closed forever.
This depresses me. I enjoy the occasional smoke after a long workday, but I'll be damned if I'm officially gonna register as a pot smoker. And I really don't want to buy from some shady guy on a corner somewhere either.
I predict I'll be back on the booze before the year is out
