I didn't like him, and I feel he's given way, way too much credit. He was a great CEO and an aesthetic genius, but all this crap about him being up there with Edison is more of the bullshit cult of personality he fostered among Apple/Leapfrog sycophants and media lapdogs.

But I'm also sad for his suffering and the fact that he died, and how he leaves a family behind who loved him and a legion of fans who looked up to him.

I can't even begin to comment how furious I was with a few of my friends. "haha, glad that douchebag died," sort of comments... Heartless.

Yeah I'm pretty surprised at how much he's being given credit for now that he's dead. I guess he'll go down in history as being a pioneer of personal computers and smart phones. To me he just helped make sleeker more popular versions of existing products.

Anyway, he ignored his cancer for 9 months to pursue ... well crazy shaman type shit. I can't respect that, and wish more people were aware of this fact and knew he didn't need to die.
