I thought about getting MK for old time's sake. But I haven't played three of the games I've already bought, so I'll just wait awhile...maybe it'll go to classic pricing by the time I get to it.

Portal 2 was over-hyped and overrated.  I beat it in a sitting.

So I don't have to feel bad about not wanting to play it?

What do you guys think of the Wii2 rumors? Everything I'm reading sounds cool, I just hope they have some good launch titles. And maybe an option to transfer your wiiware and vc games.

They're saying that eventually their giving that option to DSi + 3DS owners (for moving from the DSi, not the other way). I can hope they'll do the same for the Wii.

I'm curious if we'll have something like that whenever Microsoft chooses to bring a new system. All the money I've spent on XBLA and DLC ...

Ditto for Sony, but I haven't spent much there.

What was wrong with it?

In any event, I celebrated the release of Portal 2 by buying Portal 1. At the rate I'm going, I should get to play it in about 8 months.

My guess is he allowed himself to become way too excited about it and it didn't meet his overinflated expectations, and it also wasn't nearly long enough to warrant a full-priced purchase, so in the end he strongly disagrees with all the critical praise the game has been receiving.

I haven't played the game yet myself, but I liked the first game even if I've never been a part of the ridiculous cult that sprung up around it, so I expect I'll be able to enjoy Portal 2 just fine.

As I said on another board, I managed to beat both the single player and co-op in two sittings.

While I liked what a played, while I really enjoyed the story, writing and humor, I thought that the game was too short and too easy.  The fact that you are very limited to what you can and cannot shoot portals on greatly cuts back on experimentation and challenge--not to mention fun.  I think the co-op portion of the game is better from a design stand-point at the very least.  Sadly the co-op is over too soon and many of the elements I had a lot fun with, like the gels, are barely used up until the endgame.

Don't get me wrong, this is a good game, but not great.  It's a victim of hype and pricing.  I'm glad I was able to snag the game for $45 from Best Buy (with a $10 giftcard to boot) because otherwise I'd be feeling ripped off.  Here's hoping that the user created levels on the PC/PS3 can breathe some longevity into this one...

So did I spoil this shit for anyone?

I'm still playing Mortal Kombat, even with the damn PSN down, there is A LOT of shit to do in this game.  Hopefully I'll have it wrapped up before OoT comes out.

Portal 2 is $35 on Amazon right now.

Sadly the original Portal gave me an intense headache yesterday, so my FPS gaming is on hiatus for the time being.

Portal 2, mothafuckas.

I'm almost done with the single player campaign. This game is awesome.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

Is that fucking Ron Jeremy as Mario. God damn I am dissapoint.

Portal 2 was over-hyped and overrated.  I beat it in a sitting.
U MAD BRO?

I'll agree that portal 2, while longer than the first one, is a bit too short for my tastes. But I still enjoyed it.

Then again, I didn't pay $50+ for it. So maybe that helped.

Now that PSN is dead and I have no way to play Warhawk, I was forced to pick up a new game for the first time since last August.   Played through ODST and had a few batches of Halo 3's pathetic online mode.  Now I'm working on Halo Reach, which actually has a fairly decent online mode except for when every ass clown on there picks BTB Sniper shit.

I've read that only certain games and features are up.  Apparently, some servers are still being turned back on and the PSN store is still down?  At least, as of 6am that was what I had heard.

Maybe in the next 5 years, Sony can make the required system update they put out every 2 weeks take less an 50 minutes to actually download 3 megs of data.

The Store is still down, and I'm pissed. I got a PS3 (two days before the damn PSN went down, I might add) for the BluRay player with the media center, but I also wanted a free networking setup (I'm not paying fees to use something that should be free, I don't care how well Xbox Live does it) and downloadable games (primarily the Pacman Championship Editions and a re-release of Chrono Trigger...every console needs CT on it).

So I remain Pacman-less. Sons of Bitches!

Looks like I may be trading in that fucking PS3 for an Xbox soon. Hate I bought so many games for it now. Luckily all the ones I bought are on Xbox, too.

Over the weekend I was invited to be a fourth in a game of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2. We got all the way to Yellowjacket without dying and then we all died and found out that no one had been saving and thus lost all of it.
