2. I played the trial on my 360 for Pac-Man CE DX. I fully intend to purchase it at a later date. The trial was a BLAST and I normally find Pac-Man rather boring.

You can pay Nintendo $5-$10 for emulated ports of their older titles instead of downloading a ROM with framerate, sound, and graphical improvements for free.

New Super Mario Bros DS had it's issues, but over all was good. New Super Mario Bros Wii is fucking amazing, especially if you have people to play with you.

NSMBW is similar but a lot better than the NSMB but it is a little dull compared to the awesomeness of SMB3 and SMW. Speaking of good platformers, anyone play Donkey Kong Country Returns? It's fun but really fucking hard. I rented it during Thanksgiving and only got through the first world.

The Wii is possibly the easiest console to mod, and then rob blind, ever.

Newer models can't play burnt DVDs, but loading off an external HDD is leagues better anyway.

Modification. Broad term. In the Wii's case, modding refers to installing custom firmware to allow the playback of downloaded games or the installation of custom channels/applications.

DVDs, in that case, referring to burnt games. Newer models won't play burnt games. Or, hell, DVD movies either. Everything must be done off of an SD card, a flash drive, or an external HDD.

So I still play Halo Reach quite a lot, and I pick up MMZC and do a level here and there .. but tonight, I have been truly engrossed by the most beautiful game to grace the iPhone ... Infinity Blade.

I wish All-Stars hadn't screwed up Super Mario Bros. 1 by letting Mario keep moving upwards when he breaks a block. But other than that, two thumbs up.

I finally played through that Bionic Commando update, and it really wasn't nearly as awful as everyone made it out to be, but it was definitely mediocre, especially for such an iconic Capcom character. It's weird that they put him in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 when his game was so poorly received.

I think the worst part was the uber-anti-climactic ending. Good Lord. They must have been planning it as a series, but that still doesn't excuse the final boss fight, which consisted of quicktiming a bunch of lackeys, only to defeat the big bad in a God damn pre-rendered cut scene. What the eff.

Finally bought Mario Kart for the Wii and I'm LOVING IT. Havent gotten DK returunusu yet cause I found out the wii we have is in japanese and can only play japanese games. Which means that I would hardly understand any of the instructions for the game. FAIL

This is the only action game in history where the enemies don't project attacks. That is annoying.

Most of DKCR's instructions are conveyed pictorially, rather than textually, so whatever language your game is in shouldn't matter. I think. It's been a few weeks since I last picked it up.

I'm not sure I get your meaning. Are you saying they don't really telegraph their movements? Like, their attack animations occur without warning? I seem to remember the blocking being pretty essential, much more than in other games where avoidance usually means dodging. And the timing for super blocks (that's not what it's called but you know what I mean, when you block just at the right moment and the enemy is staggered) is really forgiving.
