I can't get into Game of Thrones anymore. Having read the books totally ruined the show for me.
I really want to still like the show, but now there's always this voice in the back of my head saying that the whole story will just peter out in an ever further diverging mess of dangling plotlines that will probably never get resolved in any meaningful way.

me too. i hate it even more after being in London. I just cant understand how a "first world country" (I know the term doesnt exist but you know what i mean) will still have monarchs, people that have all this powet just cause their moms sucked the right dick/ inbred the right dick

Monarchs are basically rich people with questionable head-wear who are prone to being deferred to. There's no powet there beyond the symbolic.
