They're still syndicating SG1 locally, now they're on Season 10. I haven't been watching it for a while as I'm not always home at the time it plays (I might as well just rent the entire series on Netflix or something).

This last weekend they played that crappy season 10 episode where they end up in a museum on another planet where they're mistaken for religious terrorists and have to play the part while they figure out how to get back home.

After that, for some reason, they played the Arc of Truth.

A friend tried to get me into True Blood, and I thought it was a whole lot of meh. To me it just another in a line of trendy shows like Lost, 24, and Heroes that people just watch cause everyone else is. I mean you might like it, but I bet about half the audience is tuning in not cause they like the show but just so they aren't left out at the water cooler the next day.

Not really. It's an HBO show, the examples you gave are all network shows. Very different audience.

I gave up on True Blood this year. Tired of the show sucking and dreading having to watch another episode.

I don't know. I'm sure some people watched shows like Sex in the City, Sopranos, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead for the same reason and all of those are cable shows as well. I wouldn't discount the need to belong.

I'm not saying these shows aren't good...it takes all kinds, and all kinds like different things. I'm sure some of the audience of the New BSG where like that as well, were as I actually liked the show.

I tried watching Mad Men and couldn't get into it. Blech. At least I got to try it for free. But all I could think of was that these were salacious, well-suited and pseudo-prim, lily white, middle-class people living in the dull-ass 60's working big, bad, vewy, vewy hard motherfuckin' AD jobs in offices behind fuckin' desks and I couldn't give one fuck for it. And Pan Am, Playboy Club, and all of that other shit that also thinks it's in the fuckin' 60's can suck my girl-cock as well.

Started up Sons of Anarchy season 3 since I has no FX and it's finally out on DVD.

Sons of Anarchy season 3 has it's ups and downs but the downs dont come till the near the end of the season then it picks up again. Season 4 is great so far too.

After Game of Thrones rocked my world I swore I would never watch True Blood again. I knew True Blood could never top anything that happened in GoT but I ended up getting sucked in anyway. I'm a little bit of a sucker for soap operas.

I walked into my sister's living room (yes I too have a family, no I did not spring forth full grown from my father's skull) and saw this really hack acting on tv and I sat and watched it for a minute and then she walked in and I was like "wtf dis?" and she said "trublud lol" and I haven't been able to bring myself to start the series because the acting was so cheese ball. Someone later told me that it's supposed to be campy? I don't know, I'm still on the fence about it.
