I went about 3pm.... I decided that a lot of people would be voting early so there would be long lines in the morning, and then long lines in the evening when everyone got out of work.

Apparently I was right. There was a line of... 7-8 people.

Michigan's ballots are all Scantron-style ballots, where you blacken circles for the candidates and then stick it into a machine that reads the ballots. The ballot machine had a Liebold icon. Now I'm worried.

Afterwords I went and got my free coffee from Starbucks. There was a short line there too. It seems like everyone there was for the free coffee.

And then I went to Ben and Jerry's for the free ice cream. The free ice cream would be passed out starting at 5pm and it was 4:30. There was no line. 10 minutes later when I returned, there was a line 6 stores down. By the time I got my ice cream the line was two blocks long.

There was a guy driving around a Captain Morgan truck with a guy dressed as The Captain telling people to vote responsibly, and then drink Captain Morgan responsibly.

I got a Obama poster and walked around town holding it in front of me. Then I stuck it in my car's back window.

From the commentary I assume everyone here voted for McCain. Sucks to be you.

If Obama does even marginally better than Bush I think I'll be pleased. Don't forget our last 8 years of bullshit. I'll be conservative and say that I think Obama will do an average job and at least we'll get some shit fixed around here and it will be much better than Dubya.

Also, everything and everyone I voted for won. Including the removal of the ban on embryonic stem cell research.

I also did not see that landslide coming... I expected it to be a close race.
