I participated in the caucuses last night. It was a retarded process I must say. I was in an elementary school and we basically had to go split up and stand in the designated areas of our candidates of choice. Then they counted everyone in each section, whichever candidate had less than 15% of supporters were not viable so they were to either be convinced to go to another group or try to get more supporters. I just sat there and made small talk with some people around me. I'm too shy and I hate confrontation though it wasn't a hostile environment since the only people there were Democrats.
That was just the Democrat caucus, the Republican one requires a lot less work which I'm jealous of.
Some crazy dude got kicked out right at the beginning because he was yelling things like "When are we going to get to vote? I have things to do! Is there going to be a Republican rebuttal?" etc. We cheered when he left. Apparently five minutes was waaayyy too long for him to wait.
I guess at my boyfriend's precinct, a fight nearly broke out because the Hilary supporters lost and wanted a recount. There is a lot of room for human error, especially since the place he was at was a bar/restaurant and people were going to the bar to get drinks and not getting counted. This is the kind of town I live in. Any sort of gathering requires alcohol.
Obama won the Dems and Huckabee won the Republicans.
Then I went to my friend's house and played Rock Band.
