And yet another death has struck
« on: Nov 07, 2007, 10:37:49 PM »
We do not know if it was intentional or not.  :-\ knowing him, neither seems more likely than the other. All we know is that it was an overdose of some kind, and that he was cremated at the behest of his mother.  There was no funeral, but there will be a wake for Jeremy on Christmas day.
Patrick, the man who has been my best friend for the past.....  :-\ um, I guess four-ish years came to my house today with what struck me as very unsurprising news, even though it was terribly sudden.  In the ten years or so before I moved here to Roswell in my 10th grade year Patrick was Jeremy's best friend.  And as far as anyone could say, based on what he has said over the

 I have surprised myself with how unaffected by all this as I am, but only in the degree to which I am unaffected, not the mere prospect.  The simple point of the matter is that he truly died years ago, and this time it's just physcially manifested.  Yet no more concrete to me.

He had lost his mind years ago, and we (and perhaps he) all knew it. Here's what's left of a boy who was my friend..

That's sad.  :(  And he liked Coke, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, and thunderstorms.  I like those things, too.  I don't know if you're disturbed that you're not crying in a crumbling heap or what but people react differently to things so just go with however you feel and don't question it.  Or that's what I think anyway.

I also think we need to do some witchery of some kind to repel this ring of death that surrounds you.  Time to consult Merla and her spell book, by which I mean some binder with spells three-punched into it.  Eye of newt, ass of bear, and all that good shit.

Sorry to hear it.  I took a whole shit load of some dirty drugs once and thought that I died.  My friend turned into an elf, the TV set became a living entity in the service of the switch board of souls (not completely unlike the one from Free Jack, but this one was not just a device but a committee of spirits).  I was sure I was dead but the switch board had convened to decide if I go to heaven or hell.  In an unexpected turn of events the TV over stepped it's role as go between and lobbied for me to be sent back to the mortal realm.  When I woke up on the couch the next afternoon I actually believed this to be true for almost 5 seconds.  Even when I realized it wasn't true I was still so elated to be alive that I ran around the apartment complex screaming like George Bailey and jumped into the pool with my clothes on.
