Rep. Richard Curtis was in Spokane last week attending a retreat with other Republican lawmakers to discuss the upcoming legislative session.
According to a search warrant, Curtis met 26-year-old Cody Castagna at an erotic boutique in the Spokane Valley and they went back to the Davenport motel for a sexual encounter.
At some point Castagna left with Curtis’s wallet, then called him and demanded $1,000 to get it back. Curtis said he only had $200 and would leave the money at the lobby desk, documents showed.
