I recently joined it just so I could get in contact with my old college buddies. I got slammed with spam but setting my profile on private stopped all that crap.

Well I dislike Myspace. (Even though I do have an account, I just never use it.) and don't see any need to bother with it. It'll just be replaced with something else as the "In" way to get to know people on the internet in a few years and then everyone will saying "Yeah I still have my Myspace acccount. Don't know why I keep it, I never use it anymore."

At work, we try to pressure the people without one to make one just so we can friend them. It's worked on one of them so far.

I do have to add that the catalyst for me making one was the faster connection at school. I got it to look at a co-worker's pictures but I only really started to use it at school. MySpace is more or less nearly intolerable from my home dial-up. There's just too much to load. Mai wants to die just loading up a single profile.
