I got a nephew who won't eat at Hardee's anymore because he got sick after eating a hamburger there. It probably had more to do with the fact that he was a day before having the flu. But every time he thinks of what they taste like, he remembers puking, so I can't say I blame him, and it's not like it's their fault.
I went to Applebee's three times and never found something to eat that was worth a damn...much less $15 plus tips. What made it intolerable was that the service wasn't so much bad as it was non-existant. You shouldn't have to sit there thirty minutes needing something until someone in a vest comes anywhere near you. Three strikes, and they're out.
The local O'Charley's is frequently filthy inside...you can hardly walk the floor without slipping on it. But the straw that broke the camel's back is when I was there one night with family, and they put us in the little side room, where a server was stacking plates and napkin-rolled utensils ON THE FLOOR. Also, depending on the time of day, you can't find someone to take your order. Sad thing is, I like their food...but I won't go back.
