I saw it there, but didn't get it. Mainly because it wasn't a bin, it was like all the movies they didn't sell for Christmas and there was no price on it.

Well, it's also twenty years old. And given that I've found Casablanca in the bin before, equating a movie's quality with where its found is not admissable.

Anyway, it's an enjoyable but throwaway movie...most memorable for graciously introducing the world to Elisabeth Shue (but not so much Vince D'Onofrio). Too bad she had to age.

Considering I just said that I found "The Hunt for Red October." in the same bin, I think I'd already made that leap of logic. But really the bin is usually full of movies that have either 1. Had large print runs, 2. Are very old and thus the roylaties are not as high, or 3 just movies that people as a whole don't think are very good. Since "Adventures" really doesn't fit in either of the first two...it must fall into the last. If you like then good for you, but doesn't mean everyone else agrees. I liked The Mothman Prophecies, but it seems most people disagree with me, so I got it for 5.50 cause it doesn't meet the first two either.

And I would think The Karate Kid introduced her to the world. Even though it wasn't a staring role, I'm sure more people saw the The Karate Kid then Adventures in Babysitting.

I'm going to be in 2 one act plays this semester also. The theatre majors put on a show that consists of a series of short 1 act plays. My audition consisted of me telling a story about how I and 2 other heroic warriors fought a portion of the FAMU offensive line and their lackies (for the wrong reason). It was like that moment in FoTR where Boromir says "they have a cave troll" but this time they had 4 cave trolls and their entourages were like the orcs and goblins. I and my 2 friends were of Numenorean stature.

I parried a troll punch and felled one with a single blow of my mighty fist. Then fell into fighting with 2 of the orcs. I did a crazy matrix move that was more awesome than legolas hopping up on that horse and eventually was forced up some stairs. The troll I dropped had recovered by then but blood was still gushing blood from his nose, but 3 minutes had passed and I looked to the west, there on the horizon were flashing sirens so we all ran off into the night. My friends had also done well for themselves sustaining no more than a black eye on one of them. Truly we were born in the wrong era.

The next day the football players were heard to remark to one of our friends who bounces at the club there "Man, you got some crazy ass white friends".

I didn't remember her from it, but that might have something to do with me not having seen it since the eighties. But Adventures really put her in the spotlight.

Well I kind of act it out when I tell it in person. And you get to see what my matrix move is. And when I did it at the audition I made it seem like I spontaneously asked for a cube to demonstrate the move and I knew it would be really impressive...and it was. They fucking loved me. Everyone wanted to call me back for their play but only 4 were allowed, so the seniors pulled rank and got me, and of those 4 only 2 get to have me in their plays.

It still pisses me off to this day that the stupid ticket girl asked for my damn ID to see Hallow Man. It was a horrible movie and not worth the price of admission.

No, she wanted to verify I was old enough to see the movie. I was like I just graduated from College so unless I am so Doogie Howser like genius I'm old enough to see this movie. It would have been such a big deal but this was back when I didn't drive so I was bad about carrying my ID. Also it was a nearly two bus trip from home so I would have thrown a fit if I hadn't found my ID.
