Well that would explain why I don't have much respect for the frat boy. That and it seems their other life's quest is to get plastered till they can't remember what they did or where they did it. And what's sad is they are the privileged that will one day be leaders in this country. The politicians, the doctors, the Lawyers, and the CEOs. And they'll have learned none of the values or gone through any of hardship that forge good leaders.

The only thing they are good at is on being in a circle jerk.
I'm sure that in the future, more non-frat men will realize that giving good positions to frat guys is useless, so hopefully they'll be barred from good positions soon.
I have to say I've never met a man that is in a good position in a company that was in a frat in their college years. So that's a good start.

The notions some people have about fraternities without having ever been in one are pretty ridiculous. Basically you go to some parties while making friends and connections along the way. This is called networking and is pretty much universally reccomended for most professions regardless of whether you go greek in college...*insert anal sex joke here*

I think the Freemasons have another 50 years of life left in them. There just isn't enough younger people wanting to get in compared to their huge numbers in the last 100 years or so. Hell the local Masonic lodge had to rent out their bottom floor to a law firm just to keep their building. (Which would be sad since it has Masonic symbols all over it.)

It doesn't matter. There aren’t enough younger people joining to offset the number that are dying off due to old age. It's sort of like an endangered species.... If more are being killed then are born then the species will die out, and that's what's going to happen to the Masons. I do think it'll hold on longer in England...might make it another 75-100 years there, but on a whole the writing is on the wall. Like my father was a mason, and I could pull some strings and get in, but I have no desire to do so. And that's the attitude of a lot of guys my age. I'd say 1/4 of son of Masons will join up....and in another generation it'll be more like 1/8.

But fret not, there are many other secret societies coming up that'll take its place.

For being a secret society, I always felt I should've found the Freemasons interesting, but I don't. Whether it's a presentation in my speech class or a show on cable. Even that wiki article was putting me to sleep. Can someone sum up why I should care in three sentences or less? I want the Cliffnotes version.

I think a lot of the mystic feelings are gone cause there really aren’t any secrets anymore. They are a secret society without any secrets. The mystery is always more appealing then the facts.

Now The Bilderberg Group....those are the guys you gotta watch. They invite repeorters to their conferences and yet there has never been a report about them. Not even the CIA could get the media to shut up. I'm scared of any group that can.

No I hadn't.... So I looked it up. But really it's still a mostly male white group, despite that. It was founded by White Men of Privilege (at least it's modern form where it doesn't even matter if you're actually a mason or not.) and that's pretty much what it has stayed through most of it's history. And generally in Pre-WW2 Japan.... They hated anything that wasn't from Japan.
