Yeah, she is. The male lead originally thinks she's a middle-schooler when they first meet. She loves "CAKE" and is prone to acting childish down to making kiddish pouty or hungry faces. It does at times unfortunately play into that "my infant-girlfriend" trope. She does at least have some depth to her and does style herself sometimes to look age-appropriate, which is probably why the story is still good despite of it.

I hadn't heard of that one, nor the foofaraw around it. I watched a trailer, and it definitely looks nice, but the female lead is a bit too "widdle baybee" for my liking.

I'll give it a look in September, though.

My Dress-up Darling is still good. I thought it lingered too much in the world of that fake anime but that's my only complaint.

Weird how that store employee just assumed the outfit was for Gojo. Certainly something on Gojo's diagram referenced Marin's measurements. I mean, why wouldn't the guy automatically assume the costume was for Gojo's girlfriend or something instead of for Gojo?

Fragrant Flower is very nice-looking. I did still watch it, even if the stream I found had no subtitles. There's been a stink online about it because Netflix picked this one up and then shrugs and is all " yeah, it's coming out sometime this year, I guess." Like, don't bother picking up the rights to one like this if your asses can't be bothered to prioritize releasing it. You may as well let Crunchy or fucking hidive have it if that's how you're going to be. More people were apparently looking forward to this one than I thought and the anger is palpable. I thought it was like Betrothed to My Sister's Ex or last summer's Yatagarasu where it was flying under the radar but clearly not.

This article says September but the bullshit about waiting to release it dubbed is infuriating. Most anime fans who will watch this right now don't care. Just advertise a dub on your own fucking platform when a dub is ready. Fucking Netflix.

Checked out the Assassin Princesses one. Boring and bland. The world is bland and so are the characters. I think this would've been funnier if it were about only the "priest" one trying to kill him while in a legitimate party with two "straight men" type characters and being stopped in funny ways. I find this type of weirdness more amusing if we also have characters who are not in on the joke. But you have three wacky assassins and one guy so shy he's also wacky. It doesn't work for me. Do you like two pairs of big tits and a demon loli even in a boring and bland story? Then this is your show! E, I guess. Not those tits tho'. Those are beyond E.

Then I watched the one where the white mage is banished from the hero's party. It had more good qualities than the Assassin Princesses one but this first episode is nothing-burger. Could've been a far more interesting story if the MC and his hot sensei went on adventures learning various magic. But we don't get that.

This show literally speedruns the first two episodes"every isekai in which a character is banished from a party" + an entire episode of "The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic" + tropes found in stuff like "I Parry Everything" and "Chilling in Another World with my Level 2 Cheat Powers" and does all of it waaaay worse. It also throws us into a flashback with three fucking time skips all in episode one.

The MC is the same fucking boring, naive herbivore Japanese young man trope that anime insists on putting in its stories because Japanese young men allegedly can't self-insert without it. Then it forgets to do anything interesting with his character to help him overcome this hurdle. He's secretly OP but he doesn't know it! HA HA HA.... NO.

I even checked out some of the manga to see if I was being too harsh. No, I'm not. Hot sensei--who gets props for being hot, decently clothed and not a child--was the best character in this show. I enjoyed her time on the screen. Pink girl--don't know her name--also seems ok. We barely meet her this episode but she was all right in the manga. Everything else in this episode goes into the bin. D.

I read the manga for Tapioca and, damn, that shit's depressing. I'm not sure I'll be able to sit through this, even at only six episodes.

Betrothed to My Sister's Ex was pretty good. It did feel a bit rushed, but that's my only complaint.

Secrets of the Silent Witch has way too much fucking exposition. I want to like this show and a scared, awkward powerful witch is a fantastic concept. But holy fuck. Stop explaining and explaining and explaining.

Tapioca's only six episodes? Then I might binge it, too, when it's done.

I saw a clip of Onmyo Kaiten and lost interest. Boring CG battles? No, thanks.

I did also completely binge Psychic Princess, a donghua from 2018-2019 that's on Crunchyroll. It wasn't something I could recommend to anyone but it entertained me for the evening and made me laugh a few times. The opening credits song is ear murder. Good gravy. The love interest is also kind of bland: he so moody, he so strong. You know the type. He actually improves a bit by the end but for the majority of the show he gives a poor impression. Sir, I need you crack a smile and not be such a little bitch. The girl could be fun to watch at times. I guess I give it a B-. It's getting a second season and they went full computer on the art, like RWBY or some shit. So I probably will not watch it because bleh.  :puke:

Eh, I always used this one...toe-may-toe, toe-mah-toe.

I saw where Dan da Dan picked up where it left off, which is problematic as I didn't get but five episodes in on the last go-around. Bahk-lahgs, bahk-lawgs.

I still can't believe how unbelievably stacked this season is.

That's it! Thank you.

Detectives These Days Are Crazy! seems alright. That's all I've watched so far. I've already read Takopii, so I'll just wait for the anime to finish before watching that. It's only six episodes.
