Clevatess had a solid beginning and has an interesting world. But it's a bit of a shit sundae once we get to the exposition dump. The idea that the child he took on a whim is a royal is a good hook. But this show wants to be "ha, ha, he calls her fool and asks her to show her tits, lol" and squanders its potential to tell a tense, gritty tale. She should be traumatized at the failure of the heroes, the deaths of her comrades, her own death and disfigurement, and the decimation of the kingdom and death of the king. She could be in deep denial or develop harden determination. She could try to strategize to thwart this beast's plans, showing that even as the creature's slave, she's still a hero.

Instead, the dead chick's being sassy and blushing like a tsundere. "Derr, imma verrrgin. Grrr, the baybee peed on meeee." Meh. The dub makes these interactions all the more cringetastic. The beginning was a solid A and then the quality jumped headfirst off ofa cliff. I'm not sure where it lands tho'. I might see a couple more episodes to decide.

I watched the white pig nobleman fat rich child isekai reincarnation anime. I don't recall the name and don't care enough to look it up. But it's decent. It's not exciting or particularly pretty to look at. I guess you're supposed to find the children cute or something. They're okay. The show's okay. I couldn't sleep Saturday night and watching four episodes in a row was enough for me to relax. It's basically slice of life but there's enough of a plot to just manage to feel invested. I give it a B-.

Finished this show. Overall, it was good. The isekai element felt out of place but it did play into the story so it needed to be there. This show could also be a bit clumsy in presentation but it has heart. It's a nice breather from the deluge of titties, lasers, violence and high school in other shows.

Right? Why did a prune of all things aggravate my injury like this? It stinks. But, hey, I lost five pounds. So, uh, cool, I guess. 

The girlfriend and I went and saw Lilo and stitch. Which I actually enjoyed despite the change to the ending. Then the kid and I went and saw how to train your Dragon, which was really really good.

Since I as a rule get my anime from non-authorized sources I'm hoping I can still get the Fragrant Flower show in my queue in the morning. If not, well boo. I'm certainly not subbing Netflix for the privilege.
