Your life just isn't complete!

Oh, and I'm really curious what the film industry is going to look like ten years from now. Lightyear came out 5 weeks ago, Black Phone 4 weeks ago, and as of the past 24 hours they're both currently available to watch VOD.
You know they've figured out how to make money with streaming when they went there and stayed there after the pandemic's worst days had passed. What do I think it will it look like? Much the same, but without movie theaters at this rate. They can't charge enough for snacks to make up the shortage, no matter how hard they try... yet they most definitely will try.

Black Phone is a relatively small scale horror flick, but Lightyear? That one's got to sting a little for Disney.
I don't know but have heard tell that Lightyear was an utter flop. It's back to the converter conveyer belt of recycled ideas for them.

The Thor franchise in particular has been trash the entire time, to boot.

124
I watched it not knowing the background. I found it at its core to be fine, but half the characterizations and virtually all the dialogue was patently ridiculous.

We had a week last month where it was 102F for six days straight. But the real feel was only about 107F. Yesterday was 102F with 115F heat index. It was a freaking Turkish bath out there.

126
I'm sorry, but having read the book, that's...

BWAH-HA-HAH, HA!!!

There's only one more twisted motherlover in that story, and I can't say who as I don't know how far along the show is and wouldn't spoil it.

127
Having never finished the first season I found that I have a hard time watching The Boys. The books were intense enough, and the show carries that forward. Plus I couldn't get used to Wee Hughie looking so different.

The only good thing about 100's is that it can't get more humid at that point. The week I was off work in mid-June we hit 102 every day for the entire time...so guess where I didn't go any longer than I had to during the whole 10 days I was off? If you said outside give yourself a cookie.

129
It was running on fumes last season/cour/whatever the heck these things are, and while I've downloaded this season I still haven't finished the previous and really feel no compunction to do so. Particularly when you have Kaguya-sama S3, Science Fell in Love s2, and Love After World Domination airing during the same period.

130
I tried watching Uncharted. Really, I did. 20 minutes in, I cut it off and haven't felt moved to resume it. So it'll reside on my Plex server as pending for a long time until I finally just purge it.

131
From what I've seen the "remaster" consists of up-scaled but muddied graphics with new portrait art. I just don't get why Square Enix seems to hate the Chrono series so much...no quality remakes, very shoddy reissues (with the exception of the DS release), and fierce resistance to fan productions.

132
Johnny should have just reminded himself what kind of world he was going to leave for his father Keith Richards to live in when he's gone. The Green Ambler Heard relationship would have never progressed to the point it did. Just another example of why overgrown children shouldn't breed.

Anyway...hey, did anyone chell out the new Chrono Cross remaster? I'm kind of on the fence about trying it out.

133
I'd forgotten just how much I hate most 90's anime faces.

134
Well, Youtube IS owned by Google. Their hallmark is buying perfectly good things, adding features to them despite being feature-complete, screwing them up, and letting them break before eventually removing them and disavowing their existence. I'm amazed they haven't replaced it wholesale with something worse three times already.

135
I've all but stopped watching television at this point. I don't have time. Heck, I barely watch anime anymore. Heck, I barely play video games anymore. What am I doing with my life?! :P

Youtube trash has claimed me.

136
It always comes back to Rammstein for you, doesn't it :D

Anyway, my new vehicle came with Sirius, and since I can get it for sixty buXors a year I said what the hey. I still can't find anything to listen to.

I'm about to bail on the usual concept of meals and food for a few months in an effort to drop some post-injury/post-rona/post-college poundage, and a preacher buddy of mine swears Optavia is the second coming of diets. We'll see. At least my wallet will be lighter.

138
Took me awhile to figure out what you two were talking about. Are they already airing season 2?

139
I was unaware of America Chavez before this movie. I've never been a follower of the Marvel comics.

I have to admit, the marketing for this had me fooled regarding the main antagonist. Also, the movie didn't feel as important as it was made out to be, but the multiverse aspect really served this movie well so it wasn't obvious. However it'll have massive repercussions down the road, especially in light of the Loki series ending and next year's Ant Man/Wasp movie when I figure this phase's big bad will be manifested.

140
Going to hit Dr Strange after work (i.e., in 45 minutes). Kinda hate now that I didn't watch WandaVision.

141
Finally downloaded a copy of The Batman. It's not terrible, but it's way too long, and the Dusty Rhodes false finish just makes it worse. The dialog was meh, as joe mentioned, and I think that was a flaw from the extended length...you can't really have snappy dialog within a plodding plot.

142
Kaguya-sama is back, all's right with the world. I'm trying to remember if I liked Tiger & Bunny enough ten years or so ago to watch the new season. I was glad to see Science Fell In Love got a second season as I enjoyed the first go around. I'm giving Spy x Family a shot due to its  premise alone.

143
Just realized a) I had but never played the Batman Return to Arkham collection for PS4, b) I never really got too far in Arkham Asylum when I had it on PC, and c) PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 (duh). So I'm playing through Arkham Asylum.

144
I've actually watched a good bit of anime this season, which reverses a pair of tendencies I've picked up in recent years. First, downloading a bunch of stuff that I only watch a few of but continue to pull the rest in case I ever do decide to watch. Second, paring it down to one or two shows I know I'll watch and forsaking the rest. No, I've been actively watching four at one time (Dress-Up Darling, Realist Hero, Genius Prince, and Princess Connect), and catching up with Lupin III's 5th season and stocking up the 6th (which will probably be replaced later with a dubbed version...ah, how weeaboo of me). I also just started 86 (Eighty-Six) in the midst of these.

I'll likely slow back down with this next season which only has a few shows that appeal to me: Kaguya-Sama S3 (FT-freaking-W!), Date A Live (may not finish this...didn't care for the previous season at all, plus it's been awhile), the final run of Ikki Tousen (being that I'm still a shameless smut-hound), Tiger & Bunny S2, the final run of Strike the Blood (it's been hard as hell to follow the past couple years), the OVA for Moriarty the Patriot (probably should actually watch the rest of it...) and Ascendance of a Bookworm S3 (I really need to finish S2). I probably won't see all of those, either.

145
I read all the light novels of The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt. The bad part: it continues the trend of excessively long and ridiculous titles. But that's about the only negative. I loved the hell out of it. Loved, as in past tense...I've read all 8, and the 9th doesn't come out until May. Fortunately, they are actual "light" novels, which means you don't have to invest a ton of time into it, unlike, say, DanMachi, which is beginning to resemble Harry Potter books in length the further it goes.

146
Re: Batman 2022.

147
I replayed Uncharted 4 after getting an upgraded version...I'll likely play through UC: Lost Legacy again for the same reason, but I'm Uncharted out for the nonce. I'm playing some Ratchet and Clank as a nice palette cleanser, at which point I'll probably go ahead and tackle Miles Morales, as the remastered version of Spider-man was the first game I played through on the PS5.

148
The Genius Prince's Guide light novels. Just finished the second.

149
The Genius Prince's Guide anime has been much fun. I was wondering which I'd prefer, this or second season of Realist Hero (which is also good), but the latter has seemingly throttled down and hasn't been as much fun this season. This show hasn't let up yet. I'm now reading the light novels, so I reckon I'll be finding out soon enough.

I mean... aren't the Rohirrim basically just the Proud Boys of Middle Earth?

Hahaha.
The Rohirrim were basically Vikings from the Old West. Proud Boys were basically Vikings in Pelosi's office.
