I am looking into purchasing some and I need some advice since you seem to be so savy with financial matters.   What can you tell me about them?   Is this a recommended investment?  What is the difference between "EE" and "I" bonds?  I am looking for something long term (between 5 and 10 years).
What is the difference between electronic and paper?  Why are paper sold only have half their face value?  Thanks.

Tropical Paradise of Hard Shelled Fruits / Fuck the breeders!

I went to go vote yesterday.  I had been putting it off.  It's hard to make time with two jobs and my mom always needing to use my car.  So since I didn't have anything planned I went straight after work.  I got there around 4:30pm and was dismayed to see a long line.  I shouldn't have been surprised because it was in the news that early voter turn out was high.  I almost always vote early and usually I am in and out in less than 10 mins if even that long.

I had the misfortune of having a family behind me in line.  WTF?!?  Why did these fools bring their kids?!  The family talked and talked.  Then the boy stumbled out of line and brushed up against my ass! O_o!  I was going to say something but he quickly said he was sorry.  I ignored him.  Later the little shit does it again so I turn and give the family a dirty look.  The little girl who is spinning around like a damn freak bumps into me.  He dad quickly pulls her away.  Then the boy bumps into me again and I tell him to watch it.  Then the parents get after the boy.  The parents and the boy proceed to argue for the whole time I was in line.

It made for a most unpleasant voting experience.  Shit! Control your fucking kids!  If I had not been so close to the front I would have walked away.  It’s shit like this that makes me want to tie, slash, and burn other peoples tubes as well as my own.

Tropical Paradise of Hard Shelled Fruits / CSI: NY
« on: Sep 23, 2004, 03:08:07 PM »
Last night I watched the series premier of CSI: NY with much anticipation after all it stars Gary Sinise aka Lt. Dan! ^_^ aka Mr. Shaker >_< .  The original CSI is one of my favorite shows though I didn’t get to view it much this past year.  I thought there might be a problem with this new show when I saw the previews.  They were set to this dark, sad choir music which would have worked had this been any other drama rather than CSI.  I was disappointed with the opening theme music.  I am not very familiar with all the songs “The Who” recorded but I know they could have picked a much better one.  The other two CSI theme songs are high energy and exciting.  This one is such a downer and so uninspiring.  I wasn’t however about to judge the show on its opening theme.  Oh how wrong I was.

I was very disappointed! I highly doubt I will waste my time with this show again.  The story was horrible.  A mad ex-doctor formerly from Russia was found to be the culprit behind two murdered women killed under mysterious circumstances and a third one paralysised who can only blink her eyes.  His motive: he wants control.  The mad scientist thing is ubiquitous and belongs on an episode of X-files and not on CSI.  For a mad scientist he certainly isn’t the sharpest pencil in the box.  He not only leaves a camera at one of the crime scenes but he also leaves behind his initial engraved surgical tools at another.  What A Tool! Pun intended.

Sinise seems to be dragging his feet though his entire performance.  Either he doesn’t want to be there or he thinks he really doesn’t have to put much effort because he’s that big a star.  Note to Sinise: Your star is not big!  Melina Kanakaredes (sp?)  whose acting I am not at all familiar with came across as very cold.  Other characters did not get enough screen time for me to form opinions about them or much less care about them.  I could go on but I will not bore you with any more of this laborious review. At the end I came away thinking how I longed for that hour of my life back! This new show promised to dig deeper but it failed to even scratch the surface.  Grade: D-

I also like to note that I will no longer be watching CSI: Miami.  I missed the season premier but have learned that one of my favorite characters Tim “Speedy” Speedle was killed off!   I never thought the show was on par with CSI anyway.  I also cannot stand David Caruso but I won’t go into that here.
