Tropical Paradise of Hard Shelled Fruits / Re: Hot Amelia Earhart

Hey, hey, Google says the real Amelia Earhart turned 115 today.  Apparently they found her.  And she's a 115 years old.

More like "Cowboy Bebop!  Starring Andrew Garfield as Spike!  Channing Tatum as Jet!  Casey Mulligan as Faye!  Joey King as Ed!  Michael Fassbender as Vicious!  Featuring Bruce Willis as the voice of Ein!  Some dark people, too, but in the background!  Produced by Garry Marshall!  Directed by David Yates!"  Let the fuckery begin.

But Netflix hates Japan.  That's why the logo and Reed Hastings face were on Little Boy.

What trope is that?  Nekkid Foghorn Leghorn?

I also lol'd at the fact that Obama is now almost a definite win for the 2nd term due to this, while people forget who was the one who put the "pillars"on this whole thing

You really think so?  I see whoever the Republicans choose to have way more of an impact on Bammie's 2nd term chances than this.

It's not found!

For whatever reason, my taste for the almighty Peep waned this year.  I've been eating progressively healthier I suppose but I don't really know why else I wouldn't want any.  I didn't buy myself any Cadbury creme eggs either.  Maybe next year.  Peeps are still adorable as all heck though.

I've seen tiny bits of Heroes (admittedly from the season where ppl have said it soured) and it looked as preachy and smug as Grey's Anatomy.

I read Tom's spoiler so it was my own fault for spoiling myself.  I might have been drawn in a little more to the episode if I hadn't done that.  The more shocking part, I think, was more that Widmore was his father and less that his own mother killed him and knew about it.  I felt sad for Dan, which I didn't expect, because he looked so hurt by what his mother did.  "You knew... and you sent me back anyway" type of thing.  Being killed by his mom seems like LOST trying to surprise you again, but Widmore being daddy was a little more "woah".  Anyway, this week's episode was also quite good.  As it stands, I think most of Season 2 shouldn't have happened.  Season 2 and 3 should've been combined with some of 4 and this season should've been 4 combined with some of the season 4 eps.  Again, Dan, like Miles, is much more interesting that some of the regulars (Jack, Kate, etc).

From the few ppl I've talked to, it seems people who have digital music but don't buy it aren't prediposed to buying music in the first place (like Tom) or they're CD junkies who want their own physical copy.

I buy two kinds of music: (1) ppl I really like and want to support or (2) stuff I can't find anywhere else.  Sometimes I'll also buy (3) stuff I want NOW and can get instantly through purchasing it rather than searching up and down for it.

You know...now that you mention it I like just about every movie I've seen Dolph in. Course that's a list of about four movies.

A View To A Kill
Rocky IV
Masters of the Universe
The Punisher

Dude, tell me you've seen Universal Soldier.  Yeah, it falls apart at the end, but it was decent for the most part.  I never saw the sequel because it was Dolph-less, so I didn't care that much but his character's apparently due for a revival.

I've never seen "I Come In Peace".  Is that the one where he's all "And you'll go in pieces"?

But at least if the sub gets a big ol' hole, they can glue that bitch up.

Drive to SA and borrow my copy of 5.  :D

Wallflower Vol 3 got a wait on it.  I was hoping to get it today, but the new Wolverine toon is coming instead.  I had that one above Wallflower, not expecting it to come anytime soon.  Meanwhile, the fangirls are taking forever with Ouran.

The one I'm still pissed about is Part 2 of season one of Saiunkoku.  That's three discs long and Netflix has Part 3 (also three discs long).  Who in their right mind would get any of Part 3 without seeing three whole discs (12 to 15 episodes) that precede them?  Stupid Netflix.

Your dollar weed crop is not yummy at all.  :fingershake:

I don't see how anything can be your friend when it gives you a picture like that.

Dude, I know what's going on but it's the series is just a mess imo.  It's like someone had the start of a good story in Season One and then got sick and wouldn't stop throwing up.

I'm getting tired of some of these characters (like those Dharma people that all end up deadsies soon) getting so much screen time.  Not to mention it's a ripoff either way you slice it to have the viewer invest in Michael, Walt, (especially Michael and Walt) Charlie, Eko, Rose, Bernard, Claire, etc. and they just get tossed aside/killed/whatever.  It's like they just threw a jumpsuit on Jin this season and then told him to go off and play with himself.  Sayid was completely out of character in my opinion.  I think there's just too many damn characters, too many pasts floating around that we don't need to know so much about, and too much focus on things that in the end don't matter.  Why did they need to make a mystery out of why Kate was on the island and what happened to Aaron?  They didn't.  "And here's little Ethan."  Who gives a fuck about Ethan anymore and why did we need to learn anything about his folks?  The whole Ben thing is getting old, but it's sure as hell not as tiring as knowing all of that backstory on Sayid off of the island that really doesn't matter anyway.  There's just a lot of purposeless information.  I want to see how it all turns out but it's frustrating wading through the garbage.

Last week's episode was the best yet.  Miles is miles (heh) more interesting that Jack and Kate.  "The Story of the Oceanic Six" can go fuck itself.

What about the Punisher starring Zac Efron as Frank Castle?  Teenage girls are a ripe movie-going group!  It can be based on my graphic novel, Welcome Back, Frank and Kotter.  The villain is played by Gabe Kaplan.

But who doesn't like a nice garden?  A monster, that's who.

I just saw "Let The Right One In" and realized those crappy Twilight vampires don't have to even be invited in.  They don't even need to sleep.  They're cheater vampires.

Hey, as soon as I can think of a gimmick that will get 50 zillion fangirls swooning, I'm there with you.   Vampires have been done to death, no pun intended, so it has to be something else unworldly so there's no pressure to try and "make it happen" IRL.

What about:
Cowboys with powers.  Young Guns for a whole new generation!
Sassy demon pirates.  Like Pirates of the Caribbean except everyone looks kinda gay.
Rockstar knights.  They sing, they joust!
Robot boyfriends who dress like they live in the 70's.
Pouty alien supermodels.  Work the camera, then blast it with a fireball.
Emo monster-trainers.  The girls will swoon for the emo dudes and think the beasties are oh-so-cute.
Stripping supercops.  "Ma'am you are under arrest..."  *cue thumping beatz*
Zombie pop idols.  He's dead but he's also famous!
