I don't know who this person is that you speak of, but he sounds like a pretty awesome dude.  Probably devestatingly handsome too.

Yes, you know them as "hills".

Reminds me of when I drove to New Orleans, and in southern LA, there was a sign that said "Intersection over hill" and we driving along and then there was the intersection. So I was like "Where was the hill?"  "You know that little bump we just went over?" "Yeah" "That was the hill."

Yes, you know them as "hills".
In Texas I think they're called planar depressions.

They call this area where I live "hill country" but yeah, it's all a bunch of little bumps.  I'm still envious of those huge, gorgeous green hills I saw in, like, Kentucky or some shit like that.  Large and green like those silly ones in a Mario Bros. game.

That's the price you pay for having giant hills.  You can't have everything, Mr. Greedy.

What? No it's not. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quinoa

Oh, that's the Spanish spelling.

I made tacos with it a couple of weeks ago. It could have better, but it was my first time cooking with it. Local vegan place makes that shit do amazing things.

Mixed it with beans and peppers and veggies and such. My friend who's not even vegetarian did it better than I did, though.

No. its the quechua spelling. cause, you know, quinua comes from the andes, and they speak quechua there.

Have you considered that they have over time changed the way they spelled it due to Spanish influence?

My maids are robots from the future but they don't say anything.  All they do is clean.  And feel pain.

When they writhe in pain.  The pain that they feel.  All the time.

So do you torture them all the time, or do you have other robots that do that for you ala Jabba the Hutt?
Title: Re: Happy Birthday to my favorite mountain climby foot-gloved turtle guy!
Post by: B E C K on Dec 27, 2010, 12:12:00 AM
I have other robots that do that for me.  They also feel pain.  All the time.

What if they become use to the pain?
Title: Re: Happy Birthday to my favorite mountain climby foot-gloved turtle guy!
Post by: B E C K on Dec 28, 2010, 01:15:44 AM
That'll never happen.  I constantly update their firmware.

So then how do they preform their maid duties when constantly in pain? I mean wouldn't they keep like dropping the dishes. And then how do you punish them? I doubt hitting them with a riding crop will work as well on robots as it does on human maids.

They feel the pain but still retain perfect motor function.

I'm just holding out for Jet Packs...and not those lame fly for 15 sec ones, but real Rocketer style ones. If I can get that, I'll mark it a victory.

Threads are never about what they started about because the discussion moves to something else like food or something.
