"My Name Is Earl" star Jason Lee is lending his voice to the title character of "Underdog," a live-action Disney adaptation of the classic 1960s cartoon.
"Underdog" followed the adventures of a humble dog named Shoeshine Boy who became the superheroic Underdog, who spoke in rhyme. In the movie, he is adopted by a 12-year-old boy and uses his superpower to protect his love, Polly Purebred, and the citizens of Capitol City from the evil Simon Barsinister. Peter Dinklage has been cast as Barsinister.

... Live-action? noooooooo
-
Yeah...what he said.

Hey Garfield turn out good, right? How can this go wrong?
-
Hell, Garfield was so good that they decided that it was necessary to make a theatrical sequel. Hell, it was SO good that Bill Murray was too intimidated to reprise his role for said sequel!
-
Like Garfield and Rocky and Bullwinkle before it this is just another children's movie aimed at an audience that has absolutely no knowledge of the character involved. It will fail because some exec who remember watching this show 35 years ago though "If I was a kid I'd watch that" ... but he's not a kid.

Who the hell is Peter Dinklage anyway?
-
Looks like he is minor-star Dwarf actor in the vein of Warrick Davis. I'm just amazed he wasn't in a single St*r WarzzZZ movie, or Time Bandits, or Over the Rainbow. But he was in Elf....which I've never seen.

I wonder if that's his real name....
