Title: January = Air Conditioners
Post by: Bernie AKA on Jan 03, 2006, 02:19:32 PM
Anybody want to exchange about 30 degrees or so?  Currently, it's 82.  We went shopping in shorts yesterday.   This is just so wrong.  :(

Gladly.  I hate cold weather.

It's nice and hot here in sunny Miami Florida.  I'll blindly exchange your traffic for ours though.  I've seen traffic from all over the country but none of it matches the patterns of the drivers here.  I've only seen similair traffic on video feeds of traffic in south america where no one knows what the lines on the road mean.

That was me.  Anyway, if it weren't for me landing this new job, I'd have moved in with my best friend in Orlando.

It's in the 50-60s here, which is pretty damn good for Jan here. Usually I'm freezing my chestnuts off right about now.

Mississippi is perpetually humid, and you can add "hot and..." to that expression 80% of the time.

But our traffic is quite tame.  I suppose it's a consequence of having no real cities to speak of.

What?  Starkville had a population of 21,869 in 2000!

We've been hovering around 40 here for the past few weeks, which is unusually mild.

I would be perfectly happy if it dropped below freezing mid-December and didn't come back up until March.

It's winter.

Dec-Feb winter
March-May spring
June-Aug summer
Sept-Nov fall

My only problem is that I'm a bit cold when I leave home, but by the time I get out of work, it's hot outside, so I can't dress too warmly.  Plus the store keeps it freakin' cold.

No, I mean the weather is spring. The calendar says winter, the weather says otherwise.

Wow. It takes a special kind of person to complain when the weather is unseasonably beautiful.

Well, we're due for a week of unseasonable warmth here (possibly 60 degrees tomorrow) which is odd for Maryland...

It got to 39 degrees down here. I think half of the people died.

Today it was in the 50s, tommorrow we are suppose to have 6"-8" of snow and it'll be in the 30s. Warm air from Texas and cold air from Canada are constantly playing tug a war with our weather, and that's the result.

Today is perfect.  Light rain until about 6 AM so all the crap is washed out of the air, 57 degrees and cloudless clear sky.  :)  These are the memories we wistfully call upon in August during the 100+ degree, 90% humidity days while we stand in line for hurricane plywood.
