Phelps has lambasted journalists, lawyers, nearly all churches, the general public and even Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. Now officials in Illinois and Missouri have him in their sights with proposals to ban Phelps' favorite tactic: vitriolic anti-gay protests at military funerals.

Many question his logic, but Phelps protests homosexuality by proclaiming the deaths of soldiers as holy retribution against "a fag army - don't ask, don't tell - for a fag-loving agenda of a fag-loving nation," Phelps said in an interview Wednesday.

I think this guy should be stabbed violently and tortured for hours upon hours, and I would do it myself in a heartbeat.

If I had a relative that died in the war and that guy showed up at the funeral I would ask him and his to leave and if they didn't comply I would beat the living dogshit out of him.

He sure does like the word, "fag", doesn't he?

I was trying to figure out where I'd heard of this old cracker until I read the article...he's the pastor of Westboro "Baptist Church", which is essentially an anti-gay cult rather than a real church.  They're like RL message board geeks, in a way, who just happen to justify their irrationality on spurious Bible interpretation.

He also hates Jews, according to the Wikipedia article.  I didn't know that, but I'm not surprised.  They are apparently also tied into a belief that black people are to be subject to whites, who are God's special people in the place of the Jews.

In any case, I'd like to see him and his ilk picket a funeral for one of my loved ones.  I could use something to vent upon at that point.

He's going to shit down both legs if Brokeback Mountain wins the Best Picture Oscar.  :lol:
