It starts out hilarious, but as the movie progresses it gets to be less funny and more action oriented, and by the end it's practically dead serious. It would have been a lot better if they could have found a balance between the humor and the combat. Shaolin Soccer did a better job of that, I think.

Still, not a bad movie.

I think the Chinese version is just called Kung Fu

Yeah, I laughed out loud at Shaolin Soccer more than at this movie.

But it was still a decent flick. I like how those two movies incorporate wakcy exaggerated physics and stuff.

Saw it earlier this year.

I also rented Kung Pow this week.... it kinda suffers the same fate.


I'll have to remember to watch Shaolin Soccer... and Fear and Loathing.

I own Kung Fu Hustle. Bought it the day it came out. Saw it 3 times in the theaters.

I like it a little.
