I hadn't really read the rumors aside from that a female would likely die, but Shannon was my odds-on favorite to die, followed by Sayid and Sawyer. Especially since they've done jack-squat for her since Boone died. They did the most for her since then with this episode and in the end, it does seem like they copped out by having made her so expendable when they could've done more with her and chose not to. Imagine the drama if it had been Kate, Sun, or even Charlie. Charlie's been ignored too but they've still done more for him than Shannon.
Merla made a good point in that, by killing Shannon, they've ended a piece of the story since we still could've learned about Boone and seen Boone in Shannon's flashbacks. Sure they could appear in someone else's flashback, but you lose that close perspective. If they had killed off Sun or even Rose, they still could've told their part of the story through their spouses. But I guess since she was useless anyway, they went the "better" route of escaping the wrath of fans.
But then Ana Lucia's the one that shoots her? Holy shat. "What a tweeest!" That's gonna make things uneasy at camp. :joe:
I have mixed feelings about next week's episode. I'm just hoping it doesn't drag.

Oh and that whole mushy scene between her and Sayid... it felt kinda forced to be honest. Poor Sayid lost his honeypot!

Corny image but it made me laugh.

SPOILER #256: THE MONSTERS ARE IN THEIR MINDS.
-
FUCK that WHORE. Good she's dead. She sucked anyway.
-
Sib Crush was one of my favourite character. And I was pissed when Boone died. They did nothing with her since that.
-

What about the chick in Sacremento that Sayid was searching for since he was shot in Iraq, and had his friend killed over to find? Now he's fucking the only single girl in camp?
Plus, the whole fiasco this summer over Shannon wanting to be in X-Men 3 and not being able to since her scheduling with Lost sealed her fate. What is sad, is she's a bad actress, but is hot. Which means her shelflife is rapidly decreasing.
And Anna Lucia is a bitch.

yup and I hear that Shannon might not be dead.

Eh, the lack of loyalty is unsurprising. We don't even know the whole story behind Sayid and that woman. That he attached to Shannon to the point that Vincent would even think that's pathetic is sad.
They should've just let her be in X-Men 3. Like have the others kidnap her and then when she comes back, shoot her or whatever.
And I agree, poor Boone shouldn't have died.
Someone over in the Lost google group was pissed off that they pretty much "telegraphed" her death by featuring her in this episode, and then revealed very little of anything with it. I think this season, the episode with Jack and his meeting with Desmond and healing of Sara is the only one we've had yet that actually gives us new information that wasn't already implied or stated elsewhere. (With the second episode being a bit boring with raftness, but interesting that we saw Kate's version of the events.) I agree that a good portion of the last episodes have felt like meaningless filler, which convinces me more that the writers don't even know what's going on the damn island and are stringing us along. Though I like some of the characters and the premise of the show, if I get something better to watch on Wednesday, I may just drop it. What about that rumor that they want to stretch it out for five years. Mistake, mistake, mistake. They aren't even doing a good job stretching it out this one season.
-
Well I'd like to see some of the Others and what they truly can do. Also where the fuck is the smoke monster. Kary wants to see more of it.
-
The smoke monster can eat my drops. Where's Desmond!? He better not be dead!
-
He's gotta be somewhere. Dumbass didn't realize they are on a deserted island. He can run, but the smoke monster will chew him. It seems to treat humans more like chewing gum.
-
if I get something better to watch on Wednesday
You could watch a half way hot skinny white girl solve crimes on UPN or watch an old angry white broad fire people on NBC.
-
Martha's Apprentice? I watch it on that news affiliate that rebroadcasts it like three times during the week. And Nancy Drew doesn't interest me.
-
Has Martha yelled at anybody yet?
-
No, she doesn't. She totally keeps her cool and when she's getting irritated, she kinda just tenses her brow like "hmmm..."
-
I'd rather watch a redneck trailer trash dude try to fix his karma on NBC or watch prison dudes have sex and plot their escape on FOX. Or an asshole doctor save people's lives at the last second on FOX, but it conflicts with the redneck guy.

Phase 3 Disclosure: The Dharma Initiative is not a secret international research project. You see, the island is part of another "dimension", I guess you'd call it, and is sort of "in between" the universes that are made of light matter and dark matter. We call it "Dharma". It's part of a whole planet that is pretty much available for colonization. It could also be used as a future conduit for inter-dimensional/intergalactic travel. The only problem is that we can't exist there naturally. The island only materializes when there's a solar eclipse. During that time the unique electromagnetic frequency added to the gravitational distortion allows both it and us to exist within the same space. But that "effect only lasts for 108 minutes, and then the island disappears from our world, taking any inanimate matter with it that's left behind.

If you were standing on the island after the primary eclipse period ended and the 108 minutes were up, you'd feel a great big suck of air and then "PLOP!" you'd fall right back into the ocean. Naked.
We are trying to change that. Actually, Majestic 13 developed a machine years ago that allows us to exist there. It's weird, but once us and the island "disappear" into the Dharma dimension, we have days and nights just like the earth one. But we can't travel more than 42 kilometers outside the machine's effective range.

The plan is to develop a way to genetically engineer animals with the right quantum frequency so they can exist in Dharma on their own. That's what the project is all about, and until now it's been classified.

Eh, sounds good
-
Some people seem to think that Lost is so good, it's like having sex.
Yet, see, having sex doesn't make me want to kill myself afterwards.
-
You'd have to have sex first.
-
Yet, see, having sex doesn't make me want to kill myself afterwards.
I'm sure whoever had sex with you wants to though...so it's all good.
-
Much better than mine, I conceed. Though if they did, he'd never face another statutory rape trial.
-
Since you have the hair shirts out, you need to fit this sick bitch (http://edition.cnn.com/2005/US/11/14/georgia.molest.case.ap/index.html) for one. XXL, please, because she's pregnant with the child's child. :x
GAINESVILLE, Georgia (AP) -- A 37-year-old woman was charged with child molestation after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy whom she married last week.
-
That's an interesting spoiler but again, in this episode, the show took a perfectly good and interesting premise and actually made it drag. And it should've ended right after Eko hit Ana Lucia because after that point we learned nothing new.
Poor Nathan, looking so suspicious. But if Ana's so Encyclopedia Brown about this, why didn't she note that he was dry sooner? It's "bad enough" that she accidentally shot Shannon but this makes her look even more incompetent (at the cost of Nathan's life).
-
And do any of the tail-ees know what happened with Goodwin? I kinda got the impression from earlier episodes that they didn't.
-
I doubt they do. I see Ana-Lucia becoming a bad guy, perhaps the leader of the others. She's becoming a pure bitch.
I like it. ^^
-
I want her to spank me.
-
Bow chika wow wow.
I'd buy that Porn tape. Ana X Nuri X Merla.
-
"X Merla"?! EWWWWWWWWW!!!
-
I want her to spank me.
She would too, she's totally a dyke.
And I agree, Sister x Sister = HAWT!
-
"X Merla"?! EWWWWWWWWW!!!
Okay. How about "Ana X Nuri X E"? Is that better? Cause, ya know, if that makes you feel better....
-
Only if you don't watch or participate.
-
Lost is bad enough, but now there's a VIDEO GAME?
Well stab my eyes out and fuck me silly. That's crazy.
-
Well I'm sure you'll have no problems getting your eyes stabbed out but I wouldn't hold your breath on the second one.
-
Still doesn't keep him from hanging around the preschool >.>;
-
That's what the spelling blocks and playground rocks are for.
-
Zzzing!
-
Well I've looked, and it looks like the Ass-spank is wrong again. I've found nothing concrete of what that whole 'spoiler' thing was.
That and if they leaked it now, how would they make more money?
-
Because people like you wouldn't believe it anyway until it was actually revealed?
-
Or that the site it is from is registered from some kid in Europe?
