Movies based on some Cornwell books. Really helped Sean Bean's career. Sharpe's Rifles, Sharpe'sm Regiment, yadda yadda. Really good napolen era piece. Sharpe ends up taking command of the equivalent of the "Snipers" of der army, AKA sharpshooters. Daragh O'malley's in it too!

They need to make an Odyssey movie with his Odysseus from Troy.

Sharpe was good watching.

We went to the LOTR traveling exhibit over the weekend and they had the life-sized silicone replica of Sean Bean as dead Boromir in the boat right at the end.  Little kids were shrieking and sobbing at the sight of it, and I thought one fangirl was going to climb over the plexiglass and hump the damn thing.

When introducing himself, yes.
"Major Richard Sharpe, sir."

It may technically illegal, but I burned the entire 14 disc set of Sharpe's for my mum. It was that or spend 150 for the box set.

He said it in LOTR when he cut his finger on a shard of Narsil: "Still sharp...."

How is it said then?  Like the marker?  "Lt. Sharpie, reporting for duty, Cap'n!"  "Crunchize them!  Crunchize them all!"

I'm surprised Sharpie didn't do a cartoon marketing tie-in like that in the UK.

Sean Bean is a man's man.  Not at all like that girly yet attractive Orlando Bloom.

I was thinking of a little marker in dress blues, kind of like Mr. Peanut with a sword.

So it does sound like "Sharpie"?

No; silent "e".  Which is probably why no dashing cartoon pen extolled Britons to "Be sharp with a Sharpie"
