Damned good film, alot better than Spiderman and Spiderman 2 and it really blows away all the other Batman movies. Great pacing, great character development and alot of great shots. I also like the way they handled the villians aswell as the ending. The sequel should be fucking amazing.
-
I figured as much.
-
hmm Christian Bale...
-
And with the addition of black tights to his wardrobe, further proof he is in fact at least a psycho, if not an American one.
-
Director's Cut is out Tuesday.
-
It was alright.
I probably would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't sat too close to and too off to the side of the IMAX screen. God you really need to sit waaaaaay back past the middle row.
-
Director's Cut is out Tuesday.
That always bugs me.
-
Why is that? Not like you have to buy it and there's still the regular edition out there. Not like certain people... certain Star Warsy people.
-
Eh, that's the point. Lucas will be cranking out new editions of SW until his fatass rolls over in the grave. Hopefully there's no clause in the will.
I can't wait to see the SW remake when I am 60.

Maybe the Ghost of Peter Jackson will do the remake and it'll be good.

I'll decide that after I see something of his that is ORIGINAL! Any dick with his budget could have done a good LotR flick.

I imagine the same is true of a St*r WarzzZZ remake 40 years from now.

For the first time I agree with Zero. Batman Begins kicks ass.
The batmobile is actually pretty cool and involved in one of the most fucking cool car chases I have ever seen. The movie actually entertained me without excessive special effects. And the guy who played the scarecrow was well cast and creepy.
There were some things that bugged me about the movie though. The movie was too slow at first. The movie focused too much on Bruce Wayne. I felt the scarecrow didn't get enough screen time and was shoved to the side. And I thought the plot to destroy Gotham was crazy until I remembered who the main villian was based after.
At least it wasn't shit like Episode III.
Was reading an argument about the casting of Ra's Al Goul, and some people think his character was butchered. At first I had no idea what character that was and had to look him up to remember him from the cartoon ("oh yea, the immortal 1000 year old guy in the cloak, right"). Now I know who he's based after, I do believe they did a good job of casting him in this movie. Sure his immortality isn't really mentioned in the movie, but it still fit.
What sequel?
-
But then who needs to say he's immortal? He'd be faggy if he went around shouting it. Was Talia in the movie?
-
The movie focused too much on Bruce Wayne.
Maybe it's because he's Batman?
So what's the deal with Katie Holmes in the film? Who does she play exactly?
-
Eddie saw it Saturday. 10 out of 10 in his opinion. Considering all the Batman titles he subscribes to and his graphic novel collection, I'm assuming it's pretty good.
Every once in a while I'll mention some variation of this (http://www.snopes.com/risque/homosex/batman.htm) just to annoy him. The version I heard had the Batman guy singing the "Nanananananana" theme from the TV show during the ride.
-
"homosex/batman.htm". I'm there!
-
I saw it, it's fucking great (not the homo thing though) Kinda sucks that they gave away what the sequel probally have in it, but still a good teaser.

I can't believe I'm the only fanboy in America who hasn't seen this movie. I am ashamed.

Hey, same here.
-
This is annoying. I've been looking for a pic of batman in Crane's drug-induced fantasy, when he turns blue and looks like a demon. I'm also looking for pics from the batmobile chase scene.
only 10% of the internet is original. Everyone steals from each other. I google "Batman Begins stills" and get 50 pages all with the same fucking pictures, and none of the ones I'm looking for.
It'd be easier to download the movie and rip the stills from there.

I hope you do that, and still every frame of the movie.

That was an unbad movie. Batman is an Aquarius.
I wanna play the Joker.
-
Batman is an Aquarius.
Meaning what? Did they say a birthday or you just analyzed the character. And no, I'm not making fun of you dammit. It's no fun to make fun of you anymore.
-
The character. I've thought this for a long time. Which is why I'm a little upset that it wasn't the middle of winter in Gotham. But shit, Gotham could be on the lower east coast after al, and thus primarilly winterless. He could still instead believably be a Sun Virgo and a Rising Aquarius. Also, Christian Bale was born on January 30.
If you really wanna see an unintentional astrological allegory, watch Sideways. Jack and Miles are both very blatantly Geminis, albeit two very different types. Sephiroth's birthday is not listed in the manual to FF7, but I've done a hell of a lot of thinking on it over the past eight years and I believe his birthday would be in Capricorn I.
God Fucking ass damn it. Everybody post your birthday, including location and time. Just do it.
Do it.

Yeah, you need a new hobby and/or stronger meds.

Shut up, you Libra nigger.
Your Sun Sign is Leo II, your Moon Sign is Cancer, and your Ascendant is probably Taurus. Since you're not sure of the time, and I've never met you, we can't be sure.

I'm Leo with Pisces rising & Moon in Virgo. Eddie is Taurus with Gemini rising & Moon in Pisces.
Fixed Sun signs, mutable ascendents, compatable elements in Moons and compatable Suns with ascendants. According to a couple of people, we're mated for life & when one of us dies, the other will soon follow.
