I haven't heard one way or another. I therefore choose to believe that the fact it's legal hasn't been disclosed to me yet. The news is being saved as a pleasant surprise.

It's not, though, depending on where you are. In US, there's some federal laws mostly about funding, and on how material used in research can be acquired. Some of the states have bans, some have "clone-and-kill" laws where you can make an embryo but it can't go in utero, some have state funding for research purposes. It's all over the place. Texas has no laws on cloning.

Damn. I just assumed it would naturally be illegal to clone human beings pretty much everywhere.
