I need to make sure we're all fighting on the side of good.
-
Never seen it
-
Meh, you can still be in the good group.
-
If the group that likes it is the good one...then I'll just be bad.
-
No, no, the people who like it are bad. Or Badcoats as they commonly refer to themselves.
-
I don't love it, but I do own the series on DVD.
-
Hmmm.... will mark you as Questionable. *scribble scribble*

I like it. I don't love everything Whedon has done, but I like Firefly. I don't like Serenity quite as much.
-
Enemy! Fire cannons!
Actually, I don't hate-hate it. I don't think it deserves half the love it gets tho. Still better than Dollhouse, I suppose. And not-Whedon but Supernatural. Man, tumblr loves Supernatural. MEH.
-
I don't get the Firefly love either...I watched the first few episodes and just wasn't impressed at all. And Serenity isn't very good either. I just don't get it. Although I do like Nathan Fillion in stuff, but to me he'll always be Cactoid Jim.
-
Despite what people said at the time, you couldn't watch Serenity and give a care without having seen and liked the show. And I had to stick with the show a few episodes before I started to like it, which is a big ding against it. Then again, it took watching two seasons of Star Trek TNG for me to really care for it.
-
If Firefly had been on longer, I don't think it would have the level of attention it does but would still be a popular show people find memorable. If it had gone past four seasons I think most would have started hating it.
-
I think I did see Serenity but can't remember a thing about it
-
Look, a list of failed TV shows that doesn't include Firefly.

I watched half the series, got kinda bored. 1 hour is too long to hold my attention for a lot of things.
I kinda liked it though.

That's because the first two season suck balls. They're only good for camp or a drinking game. It only got real when the Borg attacked.
-
The episode where Q introduced the Borg and made Picard suck up to him was what got me.
-
Strange but even though I generally like the Next Generation characters, I could never get into the show. I like seeing an episode here and there with Merla but don't really watch them on my own.
-
I bought the collections they put out a few years ago (Time Travel, Klingons, Q, and Borg, in particular) and that has tided me over. The thing about TNG is that the majority of the show was ruined with whiny bullshit (i.e., anything having personally to do with Troi, Picard, and the Crushers) with pieces of hey-awesome sprinkled haphazardly in the mix. Stuff dealing with Riker (the TNG version of Captain Kirk), Data, and Worf were fun, and the Q eps were my favorites.
-
Why watch something that you know won't have an ending?

I found the Klingon one at Big Lots for, like, five or seven bucks a long time back and bought it for Merla. Then she collected, I think Borg and Time Travel.

That's pretty much my excuse for not watching most new series anymore.
-
Yeah I don't watch anything new either. Just keep rewatching the oldies

No, it got real when Riker grew a beard.
-
So real that for years I never realized he didn't have one.

Exactly. It's still hard to imagine him without one, right?
-
I mean, I totally thought he was born with it. That or the beard materialized the minute his balls dropped. Either way, I was surprised to see him in episodes without it.
-
The GF is watching though it with me now and she is physically disgusted by him being beardless.
