goddamnit :(
My thoughts exactly.
-
it's okay tom, i still love you.
-
And that is all that matters ^_^
-
Why won't you DIE?!!?
-
theres this saying in spanish, "hierba mala nunca muere". its like saying "weed never dies"
-
*bubble toast*
-
I need some weed. :D
-
I think she meant like crabgrass.
-
or dandilions.
-
or dandilions.
My girlfriend refuses to call them weeds because they look like sunflowers.
Or wait, are those the ones with the little white fluffies? She refuses to call those weeds because they're cool.
Are those the same plant?
-
yeah, i think they're one in the same. they're sunflower-like during the summer. and all puffy-like during the fall.
-
They're sunflower-like during the spring here and fluffy-puff during the late spring. Then the rest of the weeds come in. . .
We planted Black-Eyed Susans (type of wild sunflower) in one of the gardens out front this year, and they're spreading like a weed throughout the yard. We finally just pulled them up, but they keep coming back. Arrgh...
-
Now you should plant Ruby Runner, it's basically a red grass, and it grows great in AND out of the water.
-
JUST LIKE TOM!

Why would I want a water plant in my front yard? I think I'll tell my grandma about it, though, so she can plant some at the farm. Does it get eaten a lot by strange animals? It'd be a problem, if she were to plant something and have the deer eat it again.
-
I have no idea.
-
who doesn't want red grass in their front yard? i do.
-
JUST LIKE TOM!
o.O LAME!
-
who doesn't want red grass in their front yard? i do.
It grows really well, we don't even plant it at the store, and it just kind of shoots up out of nowhere.

that's the best kind: no work required.
-
I'm never planting it, then. With my luck, if I planted it out front, it'd spread to the back yard to my vegetable garden and kill my strawberries.
-
I didn't know Tom was even in danger.

The root system doesn't delve very deep though, it's easy to weed out. Our hard weed is actually Taro, the elephant ear plant Hawaiins use to make poi, that shit has tough roots.
-
But my strawberrie plants are so frail. This year, they only made little bitty things and the plants were weighed down pretty bad. It's only the first year I've had them, but I wish they were a little tougher.
-
My mom always wondered why her plants don't grow, I told her, "Mom, it's because you never freakin' water them.'
Geuss what I have to do every day now.
-
Maggie, do you make your own compost for the soil?
-
Yup! I also use leaves to cover the plants during the winter. It keeps them from dying completely, as well as fertilizing them come spring.
-
i had a bamboo plant for 3 years and then one day, from one second to another(i swear!) it turned yellow:(
-
*falls asleep at the computer desk*
-
How the HELL did you kill bamboo? That shit is hardy pretty much EVERYWHERE.
-
THATS what is strange, i mean, from one day to another it was all yellow
-
Pesticide? Perfume? Jizz?
-
i dont think any of those would be the cause for a bamboo to turn suddenly yellow
-
she must have pissed on it. Tell the truth FAYE!
-
unless i have a penis, i dont think i would have been able to pee in that jar
-
I didn't know Tom was even in danger.
Eh, I still say I wasn't

We're having an ongoing feud with our next-door neighbor whom we call Saruman because he wants to cut down all the trees on the property line....the guy has cut down EVERY TREE in his front & back yard including two sycamores that were planted in the 40's & shaded our living room. He had guys with machetes cut down ALL the foliage in the back where our fence is, so now we have no more owls, plus we're on stage to 5 households every time we go out the back door because of the way the yards are situated. Total bastard.
As the trees are on his side of the line, we gave up and are having an 8' cedar fence built on that side. In exchange for having to shell out about $1600 (fence line is over 100'), I ordered 400 kudzu seeds and will be pitching them into his back yard over the winter.
For those not familiar with what kudzu can accomplish unchecked, here are a few pictures:
Don't stay still too long! (http://www.jjanthony.com/kudzu/houses.html)
At average growth of 8" - 12" a day, he should be busy next year.
-
I've tried my hand at gardening, but I either have to spend a bit every year on perennials and annuals that don't always come up every year, or throw down seeds and hope they grow.
This year I decided to take a bare patch of yard, put rocks around it, and use a "instant perennial garden" mix to try to get something to grow there. So far so good, the plants started sprouting quickly. But, within a week, I started noticing the leaves were being chewed off.
Same thing happens to the plants I transplant, I've lost about half the stuff I've planted. Can't be insects, I've sprayed for them.
I suspect rabbits, I see them a lot. Or rodents. Should get some poison and a shotgun. <_<

YAY KUDZU!!!
-
That plant is pretty fucking cool.
-
Proof of Japanese supremacy.

At our old house, our gay neighbor asked to prune our tree since some of the branches were hanging over the yard. My mom said sure and a couple of weeks later, a third of the damn tree was missing. It's like he reached two yards into our yard and annihilated everything he could reach. Bastard. What really pisses me off is when he would whine that he wanted us to cut our tree in the front yard because the leaves go into his yard, but he has TWO trees in his front yard!!! Why should we be left without a tree while he gets all the shade? Shithole. Cut your own damn trees!
Oh and after he butchers our tree and prunes his own, he throws the branches on the curb for pick-up... OUR curb. Meanwhile, his own curb is neat and clean. He always does that for brush pick-up. FUCKING ASS.
-
Nuri, it's time to realize, everyone you have a problem with, every single one, there's a very good answer to all these troubles. Slit their fucking throats in their sleep. Don't hesititate. Get some tranquilizers just in case they're not asleep, and slit their fucking throats. Go, and be at peace, bizatch.
-
If you've got the chainsaw Nuri, I've got the freezer! :D
-
Just burn his fucking house down.
-
Dare I live the American dream? I could always just skip the tree and say it's because he called my mom a "pendejo".
-
Yeah. Burn it.
-
Burn it ALIVE!!
-
Wonder if that law is still on the Texas books permitting the killing of a man for being "no good"?

Swear at the maricon in Japanese.
