I just watched one of the shittiest but funniest things ever on TV.

They played a live-action asian movie of Dragonball. The entire movie used shitty, Power Ranger-esque special effects, the dragonballs were clear balls that they called "dragon crystals", and the Dragon was the lamest looking thing ever.

And what was worse was they showed the dubbed version of it. They called Goku "Monkey Boy" through the whole thing.


Oh, and I just purchased Mercenaries. And it owns everything.
It makes my avatar seem more appropriate.

Since they called him "Monkey Boy", I'm guessing that it was from the first Dragon Ball, where Goku is a kid and Vegeta hasn't showed up yet.

I have this on tape.  It's pretty sad, but good for a laugh if everyone's drunk enough.  :P  And they're called "Dragon Pearls", which brings up a whole 'nother ick factor for their origin.

I saw it... ...at the store once.  And yeah it's Dragonball.  No Z peeps figure into it as far as I know.
