Anyone here watching the olympics this year?
Me, I don't watch much of it. The only thing I watch is some Women's Beach Volleyball *drool*
and of course, women's gymnastics *DROOL*. For reasons other than the sport itself, although it's a very cool and graceful sport.
Although, it SUCKS when the NEWS tells you the results of the competition BEFORE you've watched it. So I know how this ends :(
...and, I'm disappointed, because this year there's no one girl I think is really cute. They all look ok, but there's none that stand out. Oh well.

just to put things in context, curling is an olympic sport too. a winter olympic sport, but an olympic sport nonetheless.

Fencing has been in there a while - my X's mom was coaching someone trying out for the team when I met him.
I liked the men's gymnastics, esp. the Japanese guy who looked like Gary Oldman in "Sid & Nancy". Everyone here is all jizzed up over those dorky twins on the U.S team - too cr0n-fed & Wonder bread for my tastes. <_<
Then again, I think part of the gee-golly flag waving crap is due to still being starstruck over Mary Lou Retton's husband having an office IN OUR AGENCY!! He's really a nice guy, and it's hilarious to watch all the producers here stumbling around & babbling whan they talk to him. :lol:

There's so much controversy going on about Men's Gymnastics right now... it's like in 2002 when the Canadians were supposed to win Figure Skating but thanks to a stupid Frenchie they didn't.
First, Paul Hamm fell during team gymnastics, and landed on the Judges table, and went to 12th place. And everyone thought he lost. But then he did perfect on his next routines and shot up the ranks to win gold by a fraction of a point.
Now some Korean's whining cuz he got bronze and he wanted gold and he thought the Judges favored Hamm and there was bribing and backstabbing.
And right now, there's individual men's gymnastics, and the entire stadium is in a uproar because they say scores were marked incorrect.
I think they need to shut the fuck up. Everyone's jealous because Hamm's won so many medals, and now they gotta start shit to make him look bad. And if the other teams don't stop their wining, I'm going to go kick some faggot gymnast ass.
