In the year 300X AD, the age in which Earth was to be ruled by the Margarita Empire had come. The emperor, Tsuru Tsururiina IV, in order to make everyone in the world be bald, sent out an army of hair hunters. Hair hunting was going on all over the place.
Even today, Hair Hunter Block G under squad leader Pikari was rampaging through a village. One after another, they attacked the villagers and used their "hair cutting martial arts" and cut off everyone's hair. Meanwhile, a little girl named Beauty was watching these events unfold. However, she was found by Pikari. She had her hair almost taken when a whip like thing came flying and took Pikari down. Beauty was somehow able to get away. The Duck Dodgers shorts were godly. That series is a big stinking pile. And whoever wrote that article needs to commit sepuku for mentioning TTA and Baby Looneycrap in the same breath. TTA was a hilarious piece of brillance. Watching a bunch of babies prattle around and bitch about tattle tales and sharing is hideously boring and unfunny. I can't imagine anyone over five sitting through an entire episode of that w/o blowing their brains out.

Yeah, I had the same feelings. Bugs on his own was kinda neat, but seeing them all together, they just applied the same overall look and slapped on a different color. Looney Tunes Sentai! I liked the last few sentences of the article.
This is not the first time that a revered franchise has been done up "anime-style by some white boy who's watched one too many episodes of FLCL" (in Amidi’s meant-to-be-cutting phrase). I’m a fan of the DC animated universe, and I was horrified when I heard the concept and saw the early designs for Teen Titans.

Hmm... I think it's like every 200 years, 500 years, something like that, a hundred demons are sent to Earth to find human partners and fight in a competition to determine the next ruler of Hell. For some reason a lot of the demons resemble small children (ask Bernie) although that's not always the case.
So you've got your human-demon pairs, with the human wielding the spellbook and calling out spells to trigger the demon's attacks. Whenever the bond between the human and demon strengthens, a new spell appears in the spellbook, essentially "leveling up" the demon. That's it in a nutshell.
It's fucking goofy to the extreme, and while I can't vouch for the dub, the Japanese VAs can be hysterical at times. On the flip side, the show can get a little too sentimental now and then, which adds to the whole "I can't believe I'm watching this" factor.
Anyway, you could say it's relatively popular, with around 18 manga volumes and close to 100 anime episodes so far. You can chell out the trailer for the second movie here (http://www.gashbell-movie.com/)...
Now I'm kind of craving it. There's this one character who's supposed to be an international singing sensation, although all his songs are either about how great he is or how much he loves squeezing tits. I'm guessing that'll hit the cutting room floor on Toonami. :ph34r:

Stupid Spielberg (sp?) was afarid of scaring kids. He felt guns had no place in a kids movie. I don't see the point in changing out the guns after the movie has been around for years.

I know why he changed it, I just don't understand why he thought that would change/help anything. They're police. Kids see police with guns on the street. Aside from that, it's an older movie--kids can somehow identify older movies--and they'd probably only be watching it with their parents who'd put it into context.
