Title: My local mall is getting a Hot Topic

Aside from the fact that I think they sell cheaply made psedu-Goth crap to pseudo-Goth kids... the thought of working there intrigues me.

I could help cheer up the wannabe Goths.  "It's not so bad, tomorrow is a new day!"

Should I spend the five minutes to apply there?

I'd like to work at Hot Topic, they have fair prices on the music choices I most prefer.  I just wish they'd stop getting popular hardcore shirts, and start getting shirts from bands I've heard of that I can still stand.  Fucking Atreyu.

I'm pretty sure she's talking about the movie Atreyu, from The Neverending Story.

Atreyu was once a fairly good hardcore band that leaned a VERY VERY VERY little towards a sort of emoish thing, mostly because their lyrics were things like bitching about women or old backstabbing friends.  The last album they put out, they went straight emo/drowning pool/shit.  And it's not good.  It's very bad.  They have a song called "I woke up on the wrong side of the bed last night."  And they keep saying that over and over, and it's fucking terrible.  If you want to listen to Atreyu, get the album entitled: "Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses," it's good.

Really neat!


Honestly though, they're a metal band influenced heavily by fantasy (LotR, for instance), mid-evil settings, and and mythology.


They're my favorite band ever.

Hot Topic has Happy Bunny stuff and I got my Battle of the Planets t-shirt there a couple of years ago, but the one by us is crap now. They might as well rename it Chez Legolas.  <_<
