Title: Update on The Infamous House Across the Street
Post by: B E C K on Jan 05, 2005, 04:12:07 PM
Late last year, the hos and bitches done moved away.  Before that, they had quieted down considerably.  No electricity would probably do that to you I imagine.  I had no idea if it was permanent or not, so I didn't really celebrate.  Just kinda like one day at a time.  We've noticed at least twice that that house has been broken in, one of those times being today.

Well I'm typing a reply to a post here and there's a knock at the door.  I see a little old white man there.  I'm not sure whether or not I should answer it, as I usually don't, so I go over a scenario in my head where I take the old man and what I'd do if he was hiding a gun or a knife.  (I'm insanely paranoid.  Sue me.)  Finally, I see a large white SUV across the street and I quickly put together that nice vehicle and little old white man =  probable owner of the house.

I open the door and end up talking to him and he is in fact the owner.  He was going to give me his number but couldn't find a free piece of paper so I grabbed the sheet with his address on it (the address I got courtesy of Bernie).  He's all, "My name is B____." and I glance at my paper and go "C_____?"  Ha ha, the look on his face was funny.  So I tell him "Yeah, I was thinking about writing you about those neighbors."  (The only reason I never did was because after I got the address they left and have stayed gone until this day.)

He told me that the house has in fact been broken into four times, that the people are suppose to be moving out, and that he can't get ahold of them.  He asked me if I saw anything and I say no.  We exchange numbers and he's on his way.

The sad thing is, I heard something.  However, noises are not uncommon in this neighborhood.  There are frequently people who stop in the street blasting their loud music and shout at each other and generally loiter.  It is not unusual for me to go into my room and hear voices of people talking or shouting outside.  Unfortunately for Mr. Home Owner, I'm beyond the point where I look outside anymore.  I set our alarm and make sure nobody's breaking into OUR house and that's it.

Now that I've met him, I guess I'll actually feel a little obligated to look out for his house.

Ha ha, the look on his face was funny.

   I love happy endings.  Let him puzzle away on how much you know about him.

His favorite color is blue and he loves the movie "Cool Runnings".

And having his address will make signing him up for Panties of the Month a breeze.

I don't want to rent fucking movies.  They'll get DVD splooge all over the carpet.  Plus they're boring, what, with one of them just lying there like it's dead.

You type things sometimes that are so funny they don't even register as making the reader laugh.
If you ever met me you would probably have me crying with laughter, since you go for "literalitis"-style puns.   And then you would probably resent me for apparently patronizing you.

That was one of the advantages of VHS tapes.  At least there was the bondage possibility factor.

It's the house cunts built... or at least paid the rent for.  I don't know whose truck that is, I think the neighbor to their right had a guest over or something..

So are hedges a good thing or a bad thing?

Old "Steamboat Willie" Mickey Mouse or Newish "House of Mouse" Mickey Mouse?  The new one's a freakish pansy but the much older one was a michievious lovable scamp.

Is it creepy that that is the exact way, down to the very detail, I pictured "THE HOUSE" in my head?

Why'd he put "THE HOUSE" in quotation marks?  THAT'S creepy!

Because it's THE infamous HOUSE across the street I've been bitching about since August.  It's no different than calling a "Margaret" "Peg".

That house looks rather tame.

I was expecting some run down house with half the windows shattered or boarded up, the roof caving in, and the paint peeling off. And a shadowy ally in the back. And riced caddys parked around the front. Lawn that's more dirt than grass, bushes that are mostly dead. Add an anorexic hooker hanging out in front and the image would be complete.

I don't live in the ghetto for Chrissakes.  You can tell where the fence was boarded up.  It looked trashier with those big gaps in the fence and the garbage in front of the garage.

I was thinking nuri was being harassed by stupid ghetto trash.

Now I know it's nothing more than stupid suburban trash. We get a lot of those kind of young adults around here. The mid-income kids that try to act gangsta.

Exactly that, except they're poorer than middle income.
