Title: I think the poles are moving.
Post by: Fiero on Dec 29, 2004, 07:27:27 PM: I remember hearing about this once, the possibility that the arctic and antarctic poles will shift to a new position (more so than from the earthqueake). So, maybe, all these storms and strange events are just leading up to the poles shifting, and our compasses ceasing to work as we know them.

they have been talking about that in the news for like 2 days now. And yeah, it seems like the earthquake moved the poles.

I almost wish it would happen. Closer to reality, as of July, the seceenplay is allegedly being written, but I've heard that before. Wish they had gotten off the stick when Danny Elfman was younger & talked him into playing Rorschach.

Being that the core of this planet is LIQUID METAL, it's not a huge stretch of imagination that the poles shift from time to time. But there is no sign of an imminent catastrophic shift.

Weather shouldn't be affected since it's a gradual process.a problem, much less tectonic stresses, which are even less related to the magnetic field.
