I'm about to embark on a pizza eating competition.

Me and 6 other members of my crack team will have 2 hours to eat a 54x54 inch pizza.

If we win we get 1000$ to split between us.

If we lose we have to pay for the pizza 250 bucks.

EDIT: Made sure it says competition.

EDIT: Quest.  :)

Parmesan is for after the melting.

I'm talking about actual topping, though, as in before cooking.

I use the grated/ground parmesan primarily to soak up the pizza grease.

Cheddar simply doesn't melt well enough to be the choice for pizza topping.  Besides, cheddar cheese should be enjoyed in one of two ways:

1. Less than 1 day old, in room temperature, unripened, squeeky cheese curd form.
2. Aged more than 5 years, sharp, and crumbly.

Cheddar has 9 grams of fat per ounce, 6 of which is saturated. Feta has 6 grams, 4 saturated, Mozzarella is about 6.8 grams fat.

She was talking about me voting even though I haven't had much dairy cheese in the last half a decade, as I am mostly vegan and don't really have much of a taste for real cheese any longer.

She's making plenty of sense.

Baby Ninja is half-alien.  That's why he's so strong.  Sure, they didn't say it.  But it was implied in the second season finale where you see the Grandmaster's eyes glowing for two seconds if you DVR the episode and press pause.

A large pizza has 6 oz of cheese. 54 grams of fat for the whole pie vs 40.8. It makes a difference in durations. A man who eats nothing but cheddar vs a man who eats nothing but mozzarella will have a difference in their fat intake. Don't just throw facts away because you don't care for Faye Faye.

What? I didn't go to school for theater.  My master's is in Media and Communication.  And it was one of the more difficult programs (choosing it was the only retarded move I made), but you're right I did it while focusing mainly on banging 18 yr olds.  Which means I'm even smarter than the people who were actually applying themselves.  Of course now I'm an actor and I'm not using the degree at all, but the fact that I'm wicked smart remains.

Anyway, someone who thinks cheddar is the vegetarian cheese couldn't do it.

Indeed I do not. I have a serious lack of self control, not a lack of intelligence. One of these days ....

But in my field a degree only means you want to be in management. Certifications are the money makers here.

And certification is basically a way of saying, "yes, I would like more work for less pay than someone with a degree in this shit."

Then again, if you're in a technical field, you should be used to that already.

Indeed. All the managers have degrees. I have no personal desire to be in management, but I know more about what I actually do. They have broad knowledge (which makes sense management) without knowledge of details while I know exactly what it takes to get my costumer working again (usually).

I know people who went through and wish they hadn't.

I do know a few that are glad to have done it.

Personal inexperience is inequal to lack of knowledge, though I will grant you that perosnal experience grants a deeper understanding of knowledge.

If by deeper understanding you mean the difference between someone whose only read/seen a movie/heard from a friend about something and someone whose actually done it then yeah, and the difference is huge.

For example you can read about skydiving all you want, but you won't know shit about what it feels like to jump out of a plane.  And you certainly won't be taken seriously when you say "pfft skydiving, that's nothin! I read a book about it ya know."

Grad school, as it was explained to me by an engineering grad student, differed from undergraduate studies in that, while before you were predominantly getting hammered with school work and struggling to survive, at that point you were also the professors' bitch, as well, doing all their dirty work and having to maintain a C average to finish.

When I read "garbage bread", I immediately pictured you going through all the motions of making the dough, putting it in the pan, sticking it in the oven, waiting for it to bake, and then when it's done promptly dumping the hot loaf directly in the trash.

Most of the time, it ends up like that, anyway.

It's called Garbage Bread, because you can put anything inside it.  Any cheese, any meats, any veggies... whatever.   I generally put pepperoni and cheese or ham and cheese in mine.  Sometimes I'll let the shit hit the fan and throw pepperoni, ham, salami, capicola and about 7 or 8 cheeses in there... and some spicy mustard.  I bring it into work and everyone eats it up like vultures swooping down on their prey.  The only downside is that the more you put in there, the heavier it becomes... and the more liquid inside (see ham), the better the chances are it will explode in the oven.

Anyway... here is some that I made a year or two ago...  it's light on both the pepperoni and cheese.  I think I only used sharp in that one.

That first one looks legit.

The second, however... What the eff, dude?

That shit looks like special effects from an '80s horror flick.

I had a lot of fresh mozzarella and ham in there... both of which contain a lot of moisture, and I think as it heated, the moisture literally blew a whole through the bottom of the thing and it exploded out the side.  When I tried to lift it, the thing fell to pieces.   I was making three different kinds to bring into work for a party... but so much for that.   I let my dough rise overnight, so I couldn't make another one in time.   So I took a picture in case anyone asked where the other one was.  And these people I work with get on my ass when I don't bring it in at parties.   I think sometimes they come in to work just to eat it.

There are statistics that show that Americans are typically fat, and that show cheddar is a preferred cheese in America (along with American).

But do those statistics count the twelve triple-cheeseburgers the cheddar's being eaten on daily?

I don't know. Let's take a survey.
