fffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Anyone heard from Faye-faye lately?
-
I was just wondering about that. I know she is in Tokyo and the quake was north of there, but man it was 8.9. They had to feel that too.
-
This is what happens when you cross me.
-
Huh, so I guess Rama and me are the only ones who've posted in this thread so far.
-
Apparently so.
Looks like I'll be donating blood this weekend to help out the Red Cross.
-
Good idea.
-
Yeah good call, as for me I'm recalibrating my earth shaker. I was aiming for Hawaii.
-
The posts on her wall indicate she is okay.
-
Glad to hear her family is ok.
-
It's just like Sept 11. I see news about it and scratch my head and wonder if it's bad. Then I realize it is.
-
And, just like 911, you'd think the news media was hoping for something else bad to happen while they had cameras trained on the situation.
I'm almost ready to quit watching TV or innerwebs. It's sickening enough as it is without a world full of voyeurs descending upon the disaster like so many buzzards.
-
fuck all this shit yo! this sucks ass, im either worried about the damn next earthquake (supposedly more than 7 in the richter scale) or the stupid ass nuclear reactors. anyways we are leaving for thailand on thursday. HOPEFULLY will be able to get to the airport somehow since the train to the airport is shut down and theres not much gasoline left. we'll be in thailand for 2 weeks , HOPEFULLY we'll be able to return after that. i really love this place i'd be crushed if it gets fubar. if not we're going to my dad's place in abu dhabi or my husband dad's place in frankfurt. sort of like the end of sound of music but reverse

Well, they seem to be getting their wish in Fukushima.

Good to know you're alright now. I saw a lot of posts on your wall, but they were in Spanish and I just scratched my head.
-
lol yeah thanks. I do make the updates in english though.
Omg and to put the goddamn cherry on top, Lilli fell today and she hurt her inner upper lip so she was bleeding from the mouth. scared the fuck out of me for 000.1 seconds till ir ealized what had happened. i had to take her to the hospital (which is only a couple of blocks away) completely covered cause imagine what would have happened if i go running into the place with a baby with her mouth bleeding, AT THIS TIME? holy shit the whole place would have been cleared out. hopefully shes ok now but still bleeding. which is not fun since im hemophobic.

I'm glad to hear you're okay. Where abouts in Thailand are you headed to? Is everything at a stand-still there in Tokyo?
-
Went to Phuket, Loved it. Im glad im back in Tokyo though. Everything is normal here, like nothing ever happened

I think I'd probably enjoy a place called Phuk et.
-
The radiation leaks arent a concern anymore?
-
Not till Godzilla attacks, no.
-
My understanding is that a certain area around the plant is a problem, but Tokyo really isn't. Japan has developed very good radiation screening processes and is keeping bad stuff from leaving the affected region.
-
Fiero is right.
And I'm sure you'd love Phuket. Its all about sex there. Old men go get their young asian chicas, (or chicos). Theres actually a super high demand of trannies there, they are getting more popular than women since more men are wanting to "experiment" that.

So the phonetic sound of the name as I read it in English is appropriate?
-
Nope, it's "pū'kĭt". It joins Fucking, Austria as one of the most disappointing pronounciations of the year.
-
Its PPPPooket. And Phi Phi (where Leo Di Caprio filmed the Beach ) is Peepee (lol i know)
Anyways there was another "kind of strong" earthquake like a couple of minutes ago. I downloaded a phone app that supposedly tells you in advance (only some seconds though) when these are coming but the fucking thing didn't make noise until we were finished.
-
So if it's the big one, does the app flash red with 'YOU GONNA DIE' in giant white letters.
-
I assumed the local pronunciation was not the same, I am saying the English reader's automatic phonetic translation is accurate to the major sport of the city.
-
lol

No, they only give you numbers and location! and since i dont know the kanji for most other cities I rely solely on the numbers. At least on the TV they show you a map. Its actually funny to watch it on tv cause then you get to see the faces of the reporters trying not to shit their pants when saying theres an earthquake starting right now (only if its in tokyo of course, if its somewhere else and we don't feel it that badly they dont care)
It sucks that Tokyo still has a big one to come. THe one in Tohoku was "not it"
