...as they say in Engrish. I really wanted to watch some election coverage but all of the stuff on regular tv wasn't cutting it so I gave up. Decided to look at the news to see the turnout and came across this article from the Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/11/03/AR2010110308740.html):
One GOP victor likely to gain quick renown is Rand Paul of Kentucky, who is positioning himself as the tea party movement's standard-bearer on Capitol Hill. Paul defied McConnell and other GOP leaders from the state by challenging party favorite Trey Grayson in the primary. Democrat Jack Conway attacked Paul as an extremist, but Paul won easily Tuesday. Another potential rising star is Marco Rubio of Florida, a Cuban American whose parents were exiles and who could help Republicans mend frayed relations with Hispanic voters.
Watch out, GOP HAS LATINO. Seriously, that makes no fucking sense. To me anyway. There's a lot of people I can picture going "ˇHíjole! They comprende" and the duder could have powdered Country Time Lemonade for a brain but they wouldn't care. Hell, it's why Jennifer Lopez still has an "acting career".

Providence's mayor is a firecracker. Lincoln Chaffee won the governor's seat.

Aren't Cuban Americans known for their more conservative views, anyway? I'm basing it on the one Cuban I happen to know. You know the one.

Indeed, I do. I don't really know any Cubans here but a lot of older Mexican-descended Hispanics--of course, solely going from what I see in SA--are actually predominantly conservative, very religious, and are ripe for Republican constituency right along with being pro-life and anti-gay marriage, but feel that it's (1) the "white" party, (2) the rich party, and (3) that it doesn't give a shit about Hispanics. Sarah Palin and the Arizona-thingy really didn't help.

That's the funny thing. I'd imagine there are about as many rich people in both parties. I'm sure as hell not rich.
Yet. The Party said they'd work something out after I proved my lily white bloodline.

That reminds me, Keith Olbermann was a bad panda.

Maybe he pissed himself under the anchor desk one too many times.

Florida Cubans HATE gays, socialists, blacks, and pretty much anything else non-WASP. Never saw more brown people with sweaters tied around their necks.
