HOUSTON -- The unveiling ceremony for a monument to honor former President George W. Bush is planned for early December, an organizer of the effort says.
"All great cities are known for their monuments and public art and Houston lacks that," said local immigration lawyer Charles Foster, who with David B. Jones led the monument drive. "It was also incongruous that the City of Houston, with which former President Bush's career has been so intricately linked, would not have an appropriate site or location to record his remarkable civic career, much of which has been directly tied to our city."
The George Bush Presidential Monument, a $1.7 million project, is located in Sesquicentennial Park. The monument, which will remain fenced off until the unveiling, is a nonpartisan and privately funded gift to the city by civic leaders and private foundations, Foster said.
I'll try to get a picture of Eddie pissing on it. :P

Dont people realize he was born in connecticutt?

But his civil record is tied to Houston. What a surprise that they'd make a monument for someone who was elected president, is leading our country in a war, and so on and such. Whether you agree with it or not, it's not surprising.
End rambling.

I can't wait for the constant defacement of it.

Ohmygod, you might be right if it was before the election. Now, I see it more of 'past is the past, fuck it,' kind of thing. People will of course occasionally deface it.

Why are they calling him "Former President"? Was this article written in 2009?
-
Or maybe they know about his election fraud which will lead us to instating Kerry.
-
huh, that is odd, it couldn't be for Bush Senior could it?
-
Then why is there just a W, he's HW.
