#10 Visionaries - I've never heard of this.
#9 Dinosaucers - Loved this show. "The Dinosaucers are LEEEEAVING, bossasaur! *snort*" God lord, I rofled.
#8 Spiral Zone - What is this?

#6 Galaxy Rangers - Heard of it but I don't think I ever saw it.

I can't count Real Ghostbusters. Come on, you had the bitchin' song from the movie. That's cheating somehow. The GI Joe theme I never appreciated until it got replaced.

Visionaries was about these Knights that had Holograms on their chests and weapons or something. I never saw the show, but I remember the toys.
I have no idea what Dinosaucers is. Never heard of it.

Mighty Orbots sounds familiar, but I can't place it.
Galaxy Rangers is drawing a blank as well.
I loved M.A.S.K (Don't they know Command doesn't start with K?) Watched the show, bought the toys. Loved it. It was like G.I.Joe and Transfromers had a love child.
Defenders of the Earth was a toon that had a bunch of old King Features guys from the 30s running around in the 80s with their kids. Like The Phantom and Flash Gordon. I have a few episodes on DVD around here someplace. (if anyone wants to see this I might be able to make a copy of it) I actually remember this more from the early 90s when they showed in the morning on Sci-Fi along with Robotech and Gigantor.
I loved Pole Position. Again awesome cars! You can't imagine how let down I was when I actually got to play Pole Position the video game that this show was loosely based on.
JEM does need to make a come back. Shit there are Care Bears, My Little Ponies, and Rainbow Bright toys out there now, why not this?
I have never once seen an episode Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Not one. It's more like an Urban Legend to me. Saw the toys, but there was toon? I never saw it. (Same thing happened with Dino Riders)
I'd put Voltron in my top ten even though it wasn't much of a theme song. More just Cullen explaining what the show was about, but I could quote it word for word as a kid...and still can.
I only vaguely remember Kidd Video, and only recently found out the name of the toon.

Anyway, Spiral Zone was like a fucked up G.I. Joe. I wouldn't have watched if it wasn't the only cartoon that came on after the Bozo the Clown show.
The Mighty Orbots was like Voltron except the robots had their own personalities.
Galaxy Rangers was about futuristic cyborg super powered cowboys in space. Kinda like Power Rangers but not as cool.
Dinosaucers was like Thundercats crossed G.I. Joe with Dinosaurs guest starring The Planeteers from Captain Planet.

Wh-wh-WHA? Yeah, I loved that show. Especially since I was one of those kids totally bat-shit nuts about dinosaurs at the time. That they spoke and came from space was like that going Kaio Ken x3 or some shit. I don't remember that well over twenty years later and all, but I must've seen every episode. Toe's descrip is right on the money.

Yeah, it was actually more Merla's show than mine. That and Voltron, Saber Rider, Bravestarr, and Robotech were things I never would've seen in the first place if not for her. But it still pisses me off that he never found his dad, which was the whole point of the show. We know his father's alive, too, but Jayce never gets to find him. But according to Wikipedia, it would've sucked more if he did:
The movie
Due to less than successful toy sales, Jayce's 65 episode run was not followed up, and it ended unresolved. However, according to Straczynski,[3] a movie had also been commissioned along with the series, following in the footsteps of other toy-based animated series such as Transformers and GI Joe; if the series had proven successful in toy sales, production would have begun. Straczynski wrote the script, but due to the failure of the toyline, preparation for the movie was shelved.
Had the movie been filmed, it would have provided a sense of closure on Jayce, with his Lightning League meeting with the original Lightning League and being trained on the home world of the Guardians. He would be reunited with his father Audric, but according to Straczynski, Audric would have been killed by Saw Boss as the Monster Minds began a final assault on the galaxy, and in a final battle, Jayce would unite the root and kill Saw Boss, ending the Monster Mind threat forever.
That and Pirates of Dark Water (90's, I know) really put me off quest shows. I'm still impressed to this day that the people behind the Conan the Adventurer (another 90's) cartoon had the goddamn hindsight to end Conan's quest to cure his parents. Anyway, I saw some Jayce episodes sometime last year or whatever I think it's one of those shows that didn't hold up like it should've with the test of time. They haven't released the whole series on DVD over here and that's probably why.

Yeah, that's pretty messed up. Every 80's list should include them no matter what. The opening was the best part of the show.

Yeah there were a lot of shows I never saw. If it wasn't a Saturday morning toon, then it was hit or miss. Like I said, I never saw this or Jaycee and the Wheeled Warriors, or Dino Riders, or Silverhawks, or Inhumanoids...etc. The video store was my friend. I'd see shows after they came out on Beta. (Yeah...we had a Beta.) I remember one of the things that excited me most when we went on vacations (vacations were only used to visit some old, almost dead relatives. Not to go places like Six Flags. In fact I didn't get to go to Six Flags till I was in my teens and took myself.) was the Cartoons that I didn't get to see at home. That and getting to go to actual toy stores since we only had Wal-Mart here. What also was strange is that I could see the same cartoon twice on two different channels. I remember being able to watch He-Man and the Masters of the Universe on one channel, then after it was over change to another channel and watch another episode right after that.

Animaniacs made the top of someone else's list (too lazy to link it right now), but if I had to choose one WB opening, it would be Tiny Toon Adventures. That show paved the way for Animaniacs and Taz-mania's openings. Also, the Tiny Toons never wore out their welcome and by the end of the series run, Animaniacs made me want to choke a puppy. Even watching the opening on YouTube for the latter made me simmer with rage.

Animaniacs relied too much on the whole "look at this, isn't it fucking weird? Isn't it funny?" approach to comedy. Pinky and the Brain, Chicken Boo, Mime Time, etc were cute at first but then it was just more of the characters going through the motions. Been there, seen that. The "Rita and Runt" and "Mindy and Buttons" segments were akin to water torture. The Warners' smug personalities also got on my nerves. Slappy's and Skippy's too. The pigeons were the only ones I didn't want to shoot dead.

Rocko was awesome. He/Heffer worked at the Chokey Chicken or some shit. That show was full of them. I wished I had recorded the whole series. I remember where Heffer and Filbert were in Rocko's house or yard or I don't know what and they discovered he slept naked or something:
"He's naaaaked."
"Heh, yeah, with no clothes on."
Or Filbert and his comic book OCDness: "Turn the page, wash your hands. Turn the page, wash your hands."
The Bigheads were also full of sex jokes if I recall. Especially unsatisfied Bev.

Most of those Animaniacs moments that he chose weren't all that naughty. Though I don't like the show today, when it came on I saw almost every episode. I could swear there were others. The "Finger Prints" one is a classic. The conjugate one is the one I remember the best. In fact, he took a third of those "naughtiest moments" from that one segment.

God I loved the Animaniacs. I had the super nintendo game.
In Peru we had a King Arthur anime but it was actually of the King Arthur, not football shiznit. He was hawt, and Tristan too. Oh and Lancelot too. But then I found out what a whore Lancelot was and was disappointed.

Thundercats had some of the best music, opening or otherwise. The Transformers season three ending theme was fun because you could repeat it with just Michael Winslow-esque mouth sounds. Defenders of the Earth sadly doesn't hold up well today (which of the 80's stuff does?), but at the time it was pretty awesome. "Defenders!" And I'm glad Pole Position got some recognition, since it was the only Saturday Supercade show that didn't blow balls and was actually pretty fun.
