Except the smell doesn't hit me until I go home and realize I paid waaaay too much for motion sickness. :puke:
<a href="http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/herocomplex/2010/07/thor-3d-captain-america-3d-comiccon-marvel-studios.html>It's official: 'Thor' and 'Captain America' will be 3-D films[/url]. <insert Krusty groan here>
Article also mentions Ed Norton being sacked from the Avengers movie (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/herocomplex/2010/07/ed-norton-hulk-marvel.html) but I haven't seen either Hulk movie anyway and don't intend to so it doesn't really affect me imo. I guess, whatever, right? I'll just be watching it in 2D anyway. This craze just annoys the piss outta me.
-
At least it is not post production. Filmed in 3D it could be amazing.
-
I'm upset about the Edward Norton firing, I think he was wonderful as Banner.
-
I really liked him too. The 2nd Hulk was leap and bounds better then the first one. Kinda hoping they just drop the HULK from the Avengers movie completely now. I wouldn't want to see someone else step into Norton's shoes. And even though Hulk was a founding member of the Avengers he is hardly an iconic one like Cap, Iron Man, and Thor are.
-
It'd be nice if they go the Ultimates route where the Avengers form to contain the Hulk, but I already know they're going ALIUMS!
-
I wish they wouldn't use the Alien story. I'd rather see a collection of bad guys (from past films) band together and the Avengers have to stop them. I'll be honest. I never understood the Hulk books. He is suppose to be a hero, but he acts like a bad guy most of the time. I mean it's about a man and his struggle with his inner demons and trying to keep them under control, but Hulk is always being sold as Hero, which he clearly is not. At least not in the way like Spider-Man is.
-
Which is why Hulk as the Villain would rock.
-
It muchly would. Rumors seem to swirling that Mark Ruffalo may replace Norton. I best know him as the cop in Collateral that saves Jamie Fox in the club only to get shot by Tom Cruise. He also came out in Zodiac, but I don't remember who he was; just that Elias Koteas is old.
-
But he is also Casey Jones. So it's ok.
-
The new X-Men movie casting is just wierd.
-
I am not sure that they could make that movie worse than X3.
-
Shhhhhh...don't say that. They'll prove you wrong.
-
Fuck. You are right.
-
Stop it with the 3D!!!
-
I think it will die out at some point, but at the moment it's making studios and theaters too much money. The new will wear off and costs will only go up, so it'll fall out of favor at some point. The only thing that can save it would be 3D without glasses.
-
If it can work on a handheld, it can work on a larger screen.
-
Yeah that Nintendo announcement was pretty exciting, but who knows if that can work with a projected image. As I understood it's actually the screen that makes it work, that won't work in a movie theater. And I doubt Theaters will be too happy about buying yet another expensive system after they just bought the new 3D projectors. If the public demands it and they can make work, I can see it working. Might still just extend the life of the fad by a few years.
-
I am not sure that they could make that movie worse than X3.
I'm already expecting it at this point. I'll content myself with X-Men and X2 and be glad they didn't completely ruin those.
-
Why are we all pretending that super heroes work in live action? They always cheap out on the special effects and the rubber suits look like shit. The studios should just drop the live action actors and switch to photo realistic CG animation, like the Final Fantasy movies. Imagine if they made animated movies that looked like this (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v470/blanktoe/new%20shit/alexross.jpg)
-
They do those movies straight to DVD, and they're just as bad as the live-action movies.
-
Those movies do not have animation quality as high as the FF movies.
-
To be fair, I enjoyed the first two X-Men, The Second Hulk, the First Punisher, and both Iron Man movies. Spider-Man was eh, the second Punisher, First Hulk, and third X-Men was awful. The Wolverine Movie felt odd, not like a Marvel movie. The FFour movies were abominations SAVE for the Thing and Human torch. I liked the first blade, but the other two felt like made-for-tv movies.
-
I would like to see an continuation of Iron Man quality comic book movies.
-
I always had a thing for Thor. Gotta like them guys with long hair.
-

Do you refer just to Marvel or Marvel AND DC? Because I think the DC ones have been pretty gosh-darn good so far. Especially compared to Marvel's recent live-action movies.
-
I have enjoyed all of the DC animated films of the last few years that I have seen. The Marvel ones are not awful, though.
-

Hulk might be the most interesting character in the Marvel Universe. He's gone from being misunderstood out of control monster to suit wearing super genius thug then a super powered super genius and now he's back to misunderstood monster. He's probably grown and changed more than any other Marvel character.
-
I think they almost have to keep changing him cause they just don't know what to do with him. To me he's like superman, he's never in any danger. No one could beat him, so he is boring. He does at least have the whole monster inside to keep more compelling, but at the end of the day I'll always pick a book like Spider-Man or X-Men over Hulk.
-
Hulk be evil! Hulk made this better movie by being evil! Hulk speak in third person!
-
Are you thinking of Grimlock?
-
Hulk did it before Grimlock puny human!
-
Pssssssssssh
-
I'm reminded of that awful comic from 4chan where the Hulk goes crazy and rapes only the male super heroes. 4chan is filled with homoeroticism. I find it funny.
-
You know that 3D has been WAY overdone when THIS SHIT happens:
BRB, going to go become an hero. D:
-
I want to watch the Piranha movie. I think it is the closest to 3D pr0n we will have for awhile.
-
3D Titties. :tom:
-
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/herocomplex/2010/07/mark-ruffalo-hulk.html
So Ruffalo is the Hulk then? Ho hum?
-
Yep. And Nathan Fillion is Ant Man.
-
...Ant Man?
-
Hank Pym AKA Ant Man, Giant Man, Yellowjacket (I think), etc.
-
Fillion isn't Ant Man. It doesn't even look like Ant Man or Wasp will be in the movie.
-
Damn it. It was not a joke when I read it.
-
RAAAAIIIDDDDD!? *BOOM!!!!*
-
let's talk about Thor...http://io9.com/5599251/chell-out-the-full-thor-trailer-and-get-hammered
It looks like expensive shit! What say you?
-
I say EW. Corny dialogue. Corny acting. Couldn't be bothered to build a single set they could use CG for instead. Thor looks like a squinty-eyed red neck with badly bleached orange hair. It looks like he was directed to use some sort of fucked-up British accent because of course his people sound British *eyeroll* but is too Australian to pull it off and comes out sounding misplaced like Eric Bana in Troy. Some of the side characters look cool. Portman appears to hold her own. Other than that, EW. Thor ain't even hot. I'll probably wait for the DVD on this.
-
I enjoyed it, but yeah, the dialogue ...
-
Black dude as a Norse God is still so wrong. Will Channing Tatum be allowed to play the Black Panther?
-
I wish Portman wasn't in this. She doesn't really act so much as she just reads her lines. It's like every character she plays is the same character.
-
But she was really excited to work with a blue screen again!
-
OH ANI!
Hayden was still much worse than she in the St*r WarzzZZ.
-

I actually found her one of the least offensive things but now that you say it, she does play the same damn bitch. What gives?
But she was really excited to work with a blue screen again!
Hee hee. That made me rofl when I read about her saying that. Like, bitch, wut? rly?

No, it'll be some mixed dude like Vin Diesel. Like how they got a halfling for Chun-Li. Can't have the Black Panther be too black now because then WHIT PPL WONT BE ABL 2 RELATE. :joe:

Well keep in mind I haven't seen this trailer. I'm basing this solely on having seen Portman in film in the past. Although I'm going out of town next week and the hotel room has the high speed...maybe I'll see it then.
-
I hope Foster (Portman) dies in the first 30 minutes so that Thor can just go back to fucking Sif. You know, somebody with a feminine figure.
-
Win for Sif being Tammy from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
