Carrie Prejean Lawsuit Claims Religious Discrimination Led to Firing (http://www.seattlepi.com/tvguide/409741_tvgif31.html)
<a href="feature=related">I think Perez shouldn't assume beauty contestants should have half a brain by default. God gave her beauty, it's unfair to expect her to think, too.
The chick's just a moron. This weird guy knows where it's at: <a href=">Miss California IS a Dumb Bitch (not because of her religious beliefs, she's just an ass)
-
Didn't the Donald fire her ass, since he owns everything?
I would expect her to run into a brick wall here.
-
Some other guy fired her but I was under the impression he works for Dumps and the Donald gave his blessing. Interestingly, Dumps is not named in the lawsuit. At least she knows not to burn the right bridges.
-
Ugh...I thought this story was dead. It just keeps coming back.
-
I'll wait for the cellphone sex videos.

Perez: "I want Miss USA to represent ALL Americans..."
Well then, Miss USA needs to be 200 pounds then, and not skinny like a firepole.
I mean, what do you expect, most of these skinny bony bitches are picked for their looks, NOT for their brains. The women are picked for what "matters" in this world, that women are hot and only good for their looks. Does anyone expect any of these sluts to be anything less than dumb bitches?
My beef is with the way she answered the question, which just shows how slow she is.
I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one or the other.
Choose what? Choose straight or gay marriage? You make it sound like it's two entirely different marriage types. Like an outdoor marriage or a church marriage. "Hey honey, how should we get married? My marriage to my first wife was a straight marriage. How about this time we have a gay marriage, just for the heck of it!"
In any case she sounds like she's for states to choose whether or not they support gay marriage. States rights and all that jive.
We live in a nation where you can choose same sex marriage or 'opposite' marriage.
Opposite marriage? What the hell is that?
You know what, in MY country,
your country? Which country is that? Iran?
and my family, I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman.
Okay, well, you and your family can decide all they want how marriage should be.
In any case she starts out saying it's all great and wonderful that there are states where gays can get married and stuff, and then says she thinks that marriage should only be between a man and woman. She seems to contradict herself. Are you for allowing gays to marry, or are you for allowing them NOT to marry?
But as long as these pageants judge mostly by bust size rather than brain size...
-
Oh, and I love the way she expresses "in MY country" like she owns the entire USA or some shit like that.
You say that it's awesome that people have choice and gays can marry, and then say that you want marriage to be between a man and woman in YOUR country?
-
We'll see soon enough if the case has merit, but good grief. What I'm reading here is that discrimination is only bad when it happens to blacks/latinos/gays/trannys/take-your-pick, but if you're a religious person, pretty, or ignorant (or any combination thereof), fuck you? Please.
-
Everyone needs to lay off this chick.
So she didn't make a perfectly worded candid response? This bitch was probably nervous as fuck up there with the whole world watching.
This isn't the first time this shit has happened right? Didn't some other chick say something retarded awhile ago?
Shit like that happens in improv when you're nervous.
She didn't say anything offensive. It's ok to believe that marriage is an institution between a man and woman. It's been defined that way for centuries and is what most of us believe in this culture.
-
What I heard from the grapevine and may or may not be true is this: She was basically owned by the contract, meaning they can do whatever they want no matter what she said, or some shit like that. Poor girl. Whatever she believes, it just wasn't a good tactical decision to bring this particular answer out while at a beauty pageant. I honestly do think they asked this just because this would happen.
-

Exactly. She's a moron. She bit the hand that fed her and then expected to reap a reward. Directly from the blog of one of the judges, Alicia Jacobs, a former Miss Nevada:
To be fair, the beginning of Prejean's answer was ok…but, she made the mistake of not knowing when to shut her mouth. As she continued to speak, I saw the crown move further & further away from her. When she finished, she looked strangely proud for a moment. Personally, I was STUNNED on several levels. First, how could this young woman NOT know her audience and judges? Let's not forget that the person asking the question is an openly gay man, at least 2 people on the judges panel are openly gay. Another judge has a sister in a gay marriage. Her very own state pageant director, KEITH LEWIS is an openly gay man who has been a very generous benefactor of hers…in many ways. Did I mention I was STUNNED? I was also personally insulted & hurt.
-
And more from that blog:
Please understand, that as a journalist, I am passionate about freedom of speech, however, I am also passionate about the importance of compassion & humanity, & that we should ALL have the right to love & share our lives with WHOMEVER we chose. If Carrie Prejean is against gay marriage, she certainly has that right, but, if it was her intention to be MISS USA (and I think it was) why not answer that question with diplomacy & heart? Sometimes, (pageants & politics, to name a few) we have to be mindful of using a platform in a hurtful way, like international television (The Miss USA PAGEANT was seen by over 7 million viewers in the U.S. alone, & in at least 121 different countries) Yes, Miss USA should be beautiful, be physically fit, & look great in a swimsuit, she also has to be able to think on her feet & answer any question thrown at her in an articulate & non-offensive manner.
This Fox story mentions some specific allegations in the suit: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,544922,00.html??test=faces

You mean Miss Teen South Carolina? <a href=">Miss Teen USA 2007 - South Carolina answers a question
It wasn't offensive to you, but what she said WAS offensive to a lot of other people, including judges and her own sponsor. Prop 8 passed by 52.24% to 47.72%. She alienated 47% of the people in her own state. In most other professions it shouldn't make a difference but these pageant titles are supposed to be a feel good thing and a lot of gay people are involved in them. The struggle to be allowed to marry is important to many of them and a sensitive issue. The question shouldn't have been approved in the first place.

Dead wrong: this was not the work of a moron. A moron would have just spewed the trite, contrived, PC answer everyone was expecting. I'm sorry, but whatever you want to call Ms. USA, it shouldn't be an ass-kissing contest.

Unfortunately for you and other decent Americans these pageants are run by people that DO expect that. Miss USA is defined by the people who own it, operate it, and watch it. A large majority of these people are the kind that do expect just what you think is dead wrong.
-
If she said she was against civil unions then I'd find it offensive.
-
Civil Unions are great. IIRC some state laws are written in a such a way that insurance companies don't offer the same kinds of insurance to civil unions as they do to marriages, gays can't adopt, and some other shit which has been one of the biggest issues with the whole debate. If the rules were equal for marriage and civil union, I don't think there would be as much debate (what's in a name, amirite?). Its been awhile since I've really payed attention though, so correct me if I'm wrong about any of that. Its much easier to ignore the rest of the world and keep playing Batman.
-
I've always been torn on the whole subject. I'm not for gay marriage (or gay anything for that matter), but I do believe people should stand equal before the law, so civil unions are something upon which I might--might--could compromise. That is, if it's actually about equal rights...
Then again, I'm against discrimination against singles and figure the whole brou-ha-ha would go away by government not recognizing marriage altogether and forgetting all the privileges that come with it.

I like this part.
-
I think civil unions should grant all the same benefits.
Except I'm not sure about adoption. I'd have to see some case studies. My initial thought is that offspring are meant to be raised by a male and female, and perhaps that shouldn't be fucked with.
-
Consider other abnormal cases such as single parents (not necessarily adoption, but also straight up raising 'em because of death or bullshit or whatever). If they're can be 'normal' children raised in this kind of home, why not in a home with two dudes or two chicks for parents?
-
Well missing one of the normal parents is not the same as replacing with something abnormal. Young children are impressionable. Take me for instance. My father passed away when I was 7. I was raised by hulk hogan and optimus prime. Now I'm an overly macho womanizing freak of nature.
-
That's still considered pretty normal.
-
I'm just saying kids are impressionable.

Beck's Patented One-Month-Since-Last-Reply Lawsuit-Settled Sex-Tape Bump!
-
I thought that was pretty awesome.
But why hasn't it been leaked yet?
-
Because TMZ won't share and no one thought to make an internets copy before-hand?
-
But . . . No fair!
-
There's a copy somewhere, there always is.
-
Fiero is depending on you to find it.

I know this great website that has everything.

Don't tell anyone else. :D

Not good enough!

It never is.

Go back to choking your alien.
-
Is that what you call it? I call it masturbation, but to each their own.
-
Oddly enough I call masturbation "Choking the Alien" and then from time to time when they come into my room and attempt to give me anal probe I literally choke them. Think you are going to come in and do that without at least taking me Mini-golfing? No way mister.
-
A whole site could be written chronicling the sundry and various expressions that represent chicken choking.
