Title: "Yahoo: Losing the Geek Factor"
Post by: B E C K on Jul 31, 2009, 02:13:57 AM
I didn't know it had a "geek factor".

Anyway, I never use Yahoo for anything anymore besides my e-mail account that I must chell once a month, Yahoo! Finance which I used primarily in school, and the occassional news story or two.  When the clubs changed into groups, they lost me there.  And Geoshitties is dead, so there's no use there anymore.  I never thought much of their searching abilities (or rather lack thereof).  I don't know if it's just me, but fucking Yahoo is so fragmented and disorganized, I don't want to bother with it anymore than I have to.

I only use yahoo news, because their engine is better for searching the AP.

I havn't used the site proper in years. I did do a real estate search there like a year and half ago, but that's the last time I used it in any form.

Now that I think about, even MSN looks like a big fat messy clusterfuck.  MSN and Yahoo are perfect for each other.

I use the Yahoo news at the radio station sometimes, just because its there.  But the only reason I ever, EVER used Yahoo was the old voice chat.  And that no longer exists, so forget 'em.
